This paper shredder works well and does a good job of shredding a few pages at a time. I find that it works fast and efficiently when I feed not more than 3 or 4 pages at a time. It can shred more pages at a time but it will slow down and heat up faster. It does a great job shredding plastic cards, such as credit cards, so I can dispose of these expired cards in a secure way. Staples are not a problem either. Other shredders I’ve used jam easily but this one does a good job of shredding the pages, even if these are not feed in straight, without jamming. It has a safety feature that turns the shredder off when it gets too warm, and I’ve found that I can feed a couple of dozen pages continuously before it starts getting warm. Nice shredder that is a good value for the money.

I’m really impressed with this paper shredder! It works quickly and efficiently, handling multiple sheets at once without any issues. It’s surprisingly quiet compared to others I’ve used, which makes it perfect for home or office use. This is the perfect shredder for home use of old bills/statements, paper , etc .... easy to use/set up ....quiet.... compact size that doesn't take up a lot of space .....love the "cross cut" shredding ....great value.....exactly what I needed to shred papers and recycle ~~

My 12-sheet shredder just died one day. It was a heavy machine that sat atop a plastic basket and needed a good fit for the “actuating pin” to sit on this plastic receptacle bin. Over time, the weight of that shredder had cracked the bin and made everything unusable. No replacement for the bin available and superglue and duck tape just wasn’t working. I considered a new shredder that had a pull out bin, but after analyzing how much use (including number of sheets to feed into the machine at one time), cost, and overall weight of the machine, I realized a lightweight shredder might meet my needs. Good decision on my part. Excellent aspects: It is very lightweight machine that has an excellent and comfortable folding handle to lift it off the included basket. I have serious arthritis in both wrists and most fingers, and I can lift this off without any issues at all. It also easily seats right back into the correct position without any problems when put back onto the receptacle bin. It is pretty quiet when running. It has a window that clearly tells you when the bin is getting full, ensuring that you do not overfill and jam the machine. When full, the bin is easy to lift and dump its shredded pieces into a larger trash bag. The pieces may get a little statically attached to the plastic bin, so try covering the opening of the bin with a trash bag before you invert the bin and then tap the aides of the bin to get all the shredded pieces into the trash bag. I still had to round up some “shred debris” that clung to the inside of basket or missed the bag…not big deal. Price was awesome! Average/neutral aspects: My previous shredder had a lock out mechanism that let me ensure the shredder could not be accidentally turned on if the main selector switch was unintentionally moved to the “on” position. This machine does not have such a feature. It has 4 positions: FWD (on with continuous shredder wheels engaged regardless of whether something is sensed in the shredder slot), AUTO (power on, but shredder wheels not engaged unless something is sensed in the shredder slot), REV (shredder wheels in constant motion, but pushing things back out of the feeder slot), and OFF (which powers down the machine, red power light goes off). As there is no “guard switch” to prevent accidental activation, I simply unplugged it when I am not using it for a time and if any small children/pets are around. It also has an overheat light if the motor os getting too hot from continuous or heavy load use. It is not top heavy, but still can be tipped over if you move or bump against it. I have it freestanding on the floor between a similar sized trash can and the side of my desk. I have had no problems with it tipping or moving during use. There is a credit card slot, and while the machine will “chew” these up, you can hear the machine slow and even see the credit card wobble as it is being shredded. Worked OK as I only shred a card or two annually. I would not place more than 3-4 sheets of regular paper in at one time as you can hear the machine slowing to shred that amount. I am sure it can do more, but I decided to simply be cautious. The machine does shred as quickly as most residential use machines, however. Note: The actual continuous run time on this machine is much better than advertised. I ran it for 10 minutes without any problems, although I was only inserting 1-2 sheets at a time, not the max they say you can at a time. No overheat light came one, albeit the top of the machine did become a little warm. Overall, very happy with this machine. It will only get used every couple of weeks and then for only about 15-20 sheets of paper or other junk ail (credit card mailings, credit card receipts, etc…

This Bonsaii 6-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper Shredder works just as it is designed to work. It cuts paper to confetti size. It operates smoothly with minimal noise. It presents as sturdy and durable. The handle is needed since the top is heavy because of the shredder motor. The inset window is a good feature so as to monitor paper accumulation. I tun it on to use it and then off when I'm finished hoping to increase the longevity of this paper shredder. I'm pleased with this purchase.

ProjectFarm reviewed a bunch of shredders and this one was rated almost last. But I don’t care about most of the categories he rated them on since I am using it to mulch junk mail and printer paper to create compost. The crosscut feature cuts the paper into really tiny pieces that compost quickly. It is rated for 6 pages but is happier with three. I shredded four years of old tax documents and filled the bin up twice with no problems. I got lazy at the end and put too many pages in and it overheated. When it cooled down it continued to work well and shredded another half bin. I’ve also used it to shred toilet paper rolls and cardstock.

THAT THE WARRANTY ENDS IN 365 DAYS. NO BREAK FOR BRAKING A DAY LATER.. IT'S AS IF THE SHREDDER WAS SET TO BREAK JUST AFTER 1 YEAR OF USE. MY SHREDDER BROKE AT AROUND 358 DAYS, BUT BECAUSE I DID NOT CALL THE FEW DAYS EARLIER, I GOT NO REPLACEMENT. THE REASON I DID NOT CALL EARLIERM WAS BECAUSE I WAS IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM ON APRIL 21, 2026 FOR 6 HOURS.... THEN I RELAXED FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

Nice. solid little unit ... I loved it so much, we bought one as a gift for our friend who apparently was cross-cutting her shredded paper with scissors. :) Efficient, not too noisy (not sure how one can expect silence when you consider the job that's being done.) Just don't use it in the same room as someone napping :) I think this unit will last me a LONG time.

Great shredder does the job, easy to use and the handle makes movement a lot better than my last shredder.
