Great upgrade from the original cable that came with the headphones.
The original, non-braided cable which came with my 569s was fine, but the length vs the setup of my desk and stye of my chair made the cable regularly get caught in a portion of my arm rest and then get yanked out of the PC if I rotated my chair or rolled to the side. I bought this cable simply because it was longer, but it's also clearly much more durable and higher quality as well. The braiding is nice without being overly stiff. There is no microphone and in-line call control on this cable as there is in the original, but I knew that and didn't care since I don't use that feature of the original headset as it is. (If it's possible to use the in-line control with a PC playing Spotify or YT I never figured it out, it only ever worked for my cell phone which I needed a USB-C adapter to hook to anyway!) If you care about the microphone then this obviously isn't for you, but if you want to trade the in-line control+mic for a much nicer and more reasonably long cord this is a great buy.

Works with HD559
Had to a bit of digging online to see what models had the same cords. Use headphones at my PC and picked up the Sennheisers specifically because I got sick and tired of perfectly good headphones becoming useless after the cord gives out. The headphone I got had a replaceable cord. Well awhile back the left channel started to go quiet and then cut out and back again as I moved the cord around. When it became too annoying I ordered a new cord. I didn't really want to buy the one from Sennheiser because they were 30 bucks. I got this one and luckily I knew I had a plug adapter sitting around somewhere already. By the way before purchasing double check you have the right plug because the OEM has that big thick 1/4 plugs, like the kind that guitars use to plug into amps. Well it arrived a few days ago and didn't use it immediately because I wasn't sure where my adapter was. After the audio cutting all the time my frustration overcame my laziness and I found the adapter pretty quick after that. Everything plugs in and the cord works perfectly. I'm a fan of the look of braided cloth cords and so it was pretty cool this one had the braided cloth. And so my plan worked! Now I don't have to buy a new set of cans every single time the stupid flimsy cords on them eventually give out! t's such a common thing I don't understand why all cans have replaceable cords. It doesn't matter how thick you make the cords they seem to always eventually give out. I had a nice set of grados and they had thicker cords. Sure the cords lasted a lot longer but eventually even they gave out. If you're just using your headphones at one place there's really no reason they can't last for an extremely long time if not for that stupid cord!

Holding up well but it gained a crimp that I can't get out.
These are high quality but on my pair the threads came loose near the headphone jack and now they kind of bend at a 45 degree angle and refuse to go back. The sound quality is good. The cable does its job.

Need a replacement cord? This is it
This product is perfect, after about a year of using the cable that came with the headphones (NOT this product), it went bad. I think some of it was running it over with my office chair a few times. This cord is better than the original cord, it fits in the headphones perfectly. There's no media or volume controls, but that "feature" annoys me anyway, and that's the part that went bad on my original cable, it came apart and over time stopped working completely. I never use the volume control anyway. This product is threaded so it doesn't tangle, and the cord is longer than the cord that comes with the headphones. If you need a replacement cable for the headphones, this should be your choice, especially for the super cheap price. To set the price this low for how expensive the headphones itself is is also great. :)

The right cable does make a difference!
My cat decided I needed saving from my Sennheiser headphone cable, so she did her absolute best to chew the cable to a point it couldn't ever attack and choke me out. She did a great job, bless her furry little heart. However, it left me with only one ear working on the headphones. Bummer. Still, good kitty for doing what she thought was best. I used the cable from my Bose headphones and the sound quality just wasn't the same. I ordered this cable and what a difference! The build quality is much better in my opinion than the original. Even my cat has made friends with it and warned it what would happen should it try to hurt me. Ok, that last part isn't true, I made it up. But, the cable is awesome!!

Surprisingly solid replacement cable
I was skeptical as to whether this would work well enough. It worked perfectly though. The only downside is that my 599SE headphone came with a 9ft cable initially and this one was only 6ft. Not a major issue, just something to note. I've been using it for several hours with no noticeable difference in quality. I truly assumed an off brand cable wasn't going to be as good. Glad it worked out through. It was a $9 fix instead of spending $100 on a new set of headphones. If you're having issues with your Seenheiser headphones, I'd look into a replacement cable to see if that's the issue. Mine were used daily for up to 10 hours a day for 4+ years and I guess that's what did the cable it. No clue. But it seems it's a fairly common problem after a while. But consider this cable, or this brand, if you need a replacement.

Very Worthwhile Upgrade
I bought this upgraded cable for my Sennheiser 599 SE phones, primarily for the increased length over the original cable. I am extremely happy with them. Seamless, easy install, fits perfectly and gives me an additional 24" of length which is much welcomed when using with my laptop. They seem well made and the sound performance is identical to the factory cable. I would definitely buy this cable again, if necessary.
