My very first time using the Hover, I realized I'd accidentally left my phone at home - but the great thing about this drone is that you don't need your phone at all to actually fly it. Obviously, if you have your phone with you, you can tweak settings, but operating the drone itself happens independently of any other device. I've flown it a bunch now, and here are my impressions: Positives: - Ease of Use (literally one-button operation) - Size (I carry it in my back pocket) - Predictable (it does what it's supposed to do) - Ease of Setup (incredibly quick and intuitive through the companion app) - Video Quality (Excellent) Negatives: - Short Battery Life (definitely get extra swappable batteries) - Power (can't fly in anything more than a stiff breeze - if the wind is strong enough to move your hair, this thing probably won't be able to fly in it) - No "Return to Home" Feature (if the drone encounters an obstacle or can't overcome the wind, it just lands wherever it is, no matter if that's at the bottom of a cliff or in a tree).
