Don’t buy paraffin based oil for use indoors unless you like solvent fumes
I highly recommend this brand and type of oil for lamps AND oil candles over the paraffin based oils so readily available. The paraffin based oil is loaded with solvents that serve to keep the wax in liquid form, and certainly give off an odor. The paraffin based oil might be fine for outdoor use, but if you plan to use your oil lamps or oil candles indoors, this is the stuff you want.

Has some K-1 scent, poor bottle construction.
I tested a number of fuels and wicks in Feuerhand lamps. This fuel burns brighter than paraffin oil. It also smells mildly like kerosene. My wife doesn’t like it when I burn it indoors. It isn’t as strong smelling as K-1 or even the highly refined K-1 available in jugs at stores. It does have some odor to it. It isn’t terrible and would work fine if you aren’t that sensitive to it. It doesn’t smoke when wick is properly trimmed. The biggest issue is the material the jug is made of. It is very thin. The top of the jug collapses in every time I try and open the childproof top since it requires downward pressure. It sprays the fuel out. Best done in a sink our outside with a cloth over the lid to prevent splashing. The pour spout in the mouth if very handy and works well, but the jug should be made of a thicker plastic. Plan on storing it in another container. Burns great, has some scent, cheaper than other fuels, brighter than liquid paraffin, not as bright or smelly as K-1.
