Quiet, kills mosquitoes.
So we have had mosquitoes in the house. South Florida. We have dumped every water container. Run every sink to make sure they weren't growing in a trap. Still getting just a couple every night. A couple of mosquitoes doesn't sound like much but the reality is that they need more than one blood meal before they lay eggs, and every blood meal means that you get injected with stuff that allows the mosquito to feed, and which then itches. Got this contraption yesterday. It has two switches, one turns on the UV and high voltage, the other turns on an area light, designed to be used if this was an outdoor item and you wanted to light under an umbrella, say. Combination and maybe your outdoor diners get bothered less. We left the uv/high voltage on and turned the area light off. I heard it work once, a couple of pops. But most of the time it is dead quiet. I liked that pop sound. Every pop means one less flyer. It has no fan and I can't hear any hum. Only the pops. Happy pops mean dead bugs. This morning I noticed that I hadn't been bothered by mosquitoes. The base has a plate that unscrews so that you can clean out the dead bugs, this morning I checked it, after one night there were six mosquitoes which looked to be of different breeds. I didn't think to check them microscopically. But they were mosquitoes. I think it is a keeper. I doubt that any passive attractor could work outside here (near the Everglades), but those six dead mosquitoes would have bugged me all night and any part not covered by blankets would have been bitten in the morning. When we had a baby in the house we would fog the yard..heavy fog gave us 5 minutes. This morning? Maybe one itchy spot, but that is way better than it was. If you are the kind of person who needs absolute dark to sleep, this is not for you. There is no scheme for attracting mosquitoes except for the light, and a single switch controls high voltage and the blue bait light.

useful supplemental pest-control tool
This waterproof electric bug zapper is a practical pest-control device designed to attract and eliminate flying insects like mosquitoes, flies, gnats, and moths using UV light and a high-voltage electric grid. Most models in this category use a purple or blue UV light to lure insects toward a protective metal grid where they are quickly zapped on contact. The biggest advantage is convenience and low maintenance. Once plugged in or powered, it works automatically without sprays, chemicals, or constant monitoring. Many versions are designed for indoor and outdoor use, with waterproof or weather-resistant housing, making them suitable for patios, backyards, camping, garages, and kitchens. another benefit is the wide coverage area offered by many modern zappers, with some models covering large outdoor spaces like patios or yards, helping reduce flying insect activity in a defined zone

Para mosquitos
Great bug zapper! It works very well at attracting and eliminating mosquitoes and other flying insects. It’s easy to use, quiet, and effective both indoors and outdoors. The build quality is solid, and it has made a noticeable difference. Highly recommended!

Only lasted 4 months before breaking.
I bought this 4 months ago. It worked good up until last week. Last week the light for the bug zapper part of it burned out. I didn't think it was a big deal, bulbs burn out and I read that these UV bulbs need to be changed frequently. So I bought a 2 pack of replacement bulbs. Well neither of them worked either. So now I have a light but no bug zapper. It's pretty much useless for what I bought it for. Would have liked for it to have worked for more than 4 months. Overall I would not get this as it broke rather quickly. I just had it in my garage too so it wasn't exposed to the elements at all.

Incredible Bug Destroyer
This bug zapper has been so efficient in my backyard that I feel I may be guilty of war crimes! Every year I’ve struggled with mosquitos and other pests and this zapper gets it done. The moment I plugged it in it sounded like the Battle of the Bulge. Bugs from all over the lawn flew in for their final flight. This is a true work of art as a pest killing machine. The neon blue light of death clears them out by the dozens and the easy clean catch at the bottom is easy to empty and dispose of the evidence. Will buy more in the future.

Works great. But the light bulb not so good
Works great!! Kills mosquitos and flying insects like there is no tomorrow lol. The downside is the bulb. I got mines 5 months ago. And it already stopped working. I wish this will come with an extra bulb. Or at least advertise that won’t last long.

Very helpful I. Killing mosquitoes.
This works great. It’s fun to hear it frying all kinds of flying insects in and out of the house.

Finally a night without buzzing and bites!
I bought this lamp for my patio in Miramar because the mosquitoes were driving me crazy. From the first evening, the difference was noticeable: the UV light catches the bugs and the electric grid zaps them instantly. I even saw several mosquito carcasses in the tray the next morning. What I loved: It’s quiet — the “zap” sound is gentle, not disruptive, so I could relax with clients without noise bothering us. Works both indoors and outdoors. I plugged it near the roof overhang and placed it about 3 hours before customers arrived; by the time we were chatting the yard was much calmer. Easy cleanup: just slide out the bottom tray, empty it, wipe it down, and done. Things to keep in mind: The UV glow is noticeable at night. If you put it too close to where people sit, the light might irritate the eyes. Placement matters: I found it works best away from where people are sitting — you don’t want it near the seating area because it draws mosquitoes toward it (and potentially toward you if you’re too close). Also, keeping it some distance from other light sources improves its effectiveness. Overall: This mosquito-killer lamp was a good investment. For the cost, I felt like I got value because the environment went from buzzing chaos to quiet and comfortable. If you’re as tired of mosquito bites and zzz-zapping sounds as I was, I definitely recommend giving one a try.
