I use these plant tags for my container vegetable garden that I am growing in black grow bags. I use silver sharpies and white paint pens. These tags are hard plastic and I don’t think I will have to replace them. I can remove the marker with lemon grass oil and reuse each year. Oh, and the black tags look so nice!

These are pretty good overall. They're more durable than the wood stakes that get moldy with water. That said, the white writing on them washes away after a while if you use these in an outdoor garden. But they're great for pots.

These labels have worked out very well for me. I purchased several native plants and had trouble remembering what's what while they're waiting to be planted and after they're planted. So I needed an easy way to label them. As soon as these labels arrived, I identified and labeled the plants in the pots and throughout the yard. In the few weeks I've had them they've held up well in the Florida sun. The writing hasn't fadedI'm going to take some of these plastic labels with me during my next two-hour trip to the native nursery and mark my purchases right away.The marking pen is a bit thick, but that's really not been a problem for me. These labels met my expectations, and should I run out I wouldn't hesitate to order them again.It's now January 2019 and I just went to make a marker for my recently purchased Peach trees since there are two varieties. However, the marker is nearly dry and I'm unable to use it. I had thought I closed the cap tightly, but now I find it has to be pushed down very, very hard apparently. So now I can't mark my plants until I can find another compatible marker. It really shouldn't work that hard, and it seemed tight when I closed it the last time.

I bought these for our home garden to help us keep track of our veg. They have held up in the rain really well! The marker it comes with is more permanent but we plan to reuse next year or make new ones as the pack is so large. I also tried my own regular chalkboard marker and it wipes away from these easily, if you want something less permanent.

UPDATE APRIL 2020:These have worked well for labelling plants in my Chicago streetscape. After two years, the white paint is a bit faded but legible. When the new batch arrives, I’ll reinforce the markings on the old ones. Sometimes kids step on them when they’re covered with snow but they flex without breaking. Easy to push into wet soil; when things are dry, I jab an old knife in the ground to make a channel for the stake portion. Adding a fifth star since they’ve proven to be reliable and useful in my 4 season climate.I bought these to label various perennial plants throughout my yard. The bundled pen’s writing is translucent but OK for this purpose. Unlike the “permanent Sharpie” black markings I used on the much more expensive metal tags I bought to label shrubs, which faded completely after one season in the sun, this white ink is still legible. The plastic is flexible enough that it has been durable so far. I’m much more pleased with these tags than I expected.

I use these to remind me where I have perennials planted. I write fall pruning instructions on the back of each one. It helps me avoid ripping out plants I’ve invested in, or nurturing what turns out to be a weed. The black color helps them blend in with the mulch.

I used a silver sharpie instead of the white pen that came with them. Makes the writing more subtle, but the pen works great

This seller sending chip-made Tags, see my pictures for reference. I can't use them outdoor with my plants!!!I received tags made from flimsy plastic and had to call customer service to cancel the order, as my order was not eligible for cancellation. Amazon's representative issued a full refund and was very professional!

The media could not be loaded.  Do not use these outside. One night of rain and ink ran. Now I have to re-label all my vegetable plantings asap with a better marker, before I forget what I seeded!

Great way to label plants. They are sturdy and suitable for all weathers.
