Not 100% sure how long it lasts compared to the capacity listed, but it works as well as the original battery on my VX-8DR. I have been through 3 batteries with this radio since I bought it and they all worked fine. The 2200mAh capacity is great compared to the 1800mAh units. Fit is just like all others and with a waterproof radio it should seal up fine with the gasket on the radio. The price is right for what you get.
