Great camping grill!
Bought this grill for my dirt bike trail riding/racing trips. Most riding places here in the PNW only allow gas cooking as the fire hazard increases when the riding season approaches. We went to the desert 100 race with a small charcoal pit only to find out that we couldn't use it. Everyone else there had some type of gas cooking devise, griddles, pits, etc... Soooo....I bought this one. I've only used it once as I just got it. I put it to the test with chicken thighs, bone in and skin on. Heat distribution - This seems fine but as with all pits you'll have some hot spots. Nothing too crazy on this one though. My hot spots are where the darker chicken thighs are towards the front and one small one towards the back. See the 3rd picture. The pit ran a little hot on low, again nothing crazy but just a bit hot in my opinion, it cooked the chicken pretty quick. Cooked the chicken to 203 F and skin was nice and crispy with only one flip. Kept the lid on it and flame ups were zero and it only flamed up when I opened the lid. A quick spray with a water filled spray bottle worked perfectly. The heat shield/drip shield worked like a champ. I think keeping the heat/drip shield clean will be the key in avoiding flame ups. I didn't time the cook so I'm guessing here. I think it took less than 25 minutes to cook the 4 pieces of chicken. I started with a full little propane bottle and when done I felt like it only used maybe a quarter or so of propane, plenty leftover to do more cooking. Pretty good consumption rate. I didn't not run the pit on high for 10 to 15 minutes prior to cooking! To me this pit gets way too hot for that, I did run it on low until the smoke stopped, I guess it was burning off the manufacturing preservation oil. I did set up a board to block the wind however I took it down after the pictures and the pit did fine, wind was only 2 to 4 mph, so not much. Overall - Great pit so far, I think I'm going to really like it!

Great little portable grill
Great little grill. Was a bit skeptical about how it was assembled especially with the gas inlet but it works it just seems scary the first time you light it but it’s no issue. It does cook a bit cool but if you keep the lid on it retains a good temp.

Save your money and your weekend - do NOT buy this grill
This grill ruined my 4th of July weekend. Save your cookout, campout or whatever, and buy something else. The most egregious of the many faults of this grill (cheap almost-fits-together construction, plastic and rubber used for heat-sensitive areas like the top handle, a regulator that is more of an on/off switch than a dial, and legs that interfere with the placement of the propane bottle in the regulator so its never quite secure or sturdy on the table - and yes, you need a table because a Coleman 1lb. bottle hangs down 6-8 inches below the legs) is the total lack of heat control or distribution. Regardless of where you set the knob (using Coleman brand 1lb. Propane bottles), the single burner somehow produces enough heat to scorch any food placed on the rack without cooking the inside. The first night, my hot dogs were burnt and blacked on the outside (yes, we did the initial burn-off of the manufacturing coating before attempting to cook on it) and still COLD on the inside! Same with the burgers on day 2. Blacked and charred on the outside and raw on the inside, even on the lowest setting (and no, they were not frozen)! ‘It must have good cooking power’ you might be thinking? No. A 2 cup percolator left on the grill for over an hour on the highest setting NEVER BOILED. After a full hour of high heat, the sides of the percolator were still luke warm to the touch. I wound up building a fire, letting it burn down to a bed of coals, and moving the percolator to the fire pit to make my (and my whole camp site’s) coffee 2 1/2 hours after we all woke up. Standing around staring at a grill burn through propane for over an hour with no noticeable effect on the coffee 6-8 hungover campers are waiting for is not worth the $50 price tag. By the third night we left the campsite early and drove to a local friend’s house to cook our 4th of July steaks on their back deck grill. I could not return this pos fast enough. Save yourself.

Affordable but problematic
Affordable, easy to use, but maybe has a defect. It makes a crazy loud (and surprisingly intermittent) jet engine sound. I assume there's something wrong with the included gas regulator. Writing to the manufacturer...

So pretty and practical!
"I bought this Char-Broil grill and I love it. It's super nice looking, with a sleek and clean black design. It's true that it's small, but that's its strong point. It's perfect for my patio and I can take it camping easily; the legs fold up for easy transport. It cooks really well, the heat is stable. I really like it!"

جيدة جدا ، لم انتبه الي ان للغاز اسطوانات مخصصة ولا تعمل بالمنظمات العادية واضطررت الي تعديلها Very good. I did not notice that the gas has specialized cylinders and does not work with regular regulators, and I had to modify it.

This bbq is just what you thought it was-a great-small bbq that serves to allow cooking for a small famnily or just two people. Well made and instructions for assembly are easy to follow. I recommend this product.

We've used this portable grill in so many locations...camping...beach...picnics....reststops...impromptu bbqs. We love this thing can say enough about it....we actually use it more than our gas camping stove mostly because it gives a better flavour to our food. Great packable design a bit tall when packed cause of the domed lid and handle...but we'll make room for it cause we like how it cooks. Legs are pretty sturdy as well Easy to assemble just rescrew everything back together after cleaning...grill cleans.pretty easily if cleaned soon after use. Lining the bottom and leaving the air holes on the bottom open makes for much easier cleaning. Great purchase if you dont cook for many people and you dont have room for a standing bbq
