This monitor is a really great option for high refresh rate and it adds the ability to have G-Sync with the new firmware update from Nvidia. I am very impressed with the quality of the monitor. The RGB light on the back seems really dim, but I didn't buy it for that feature so I didn't mind. It is only 1080p and it is a TN panel, so viewing angles are terrible. You need to sit directly at eye level with the screen or adjust it to be square to your eyes. Luckily the adjustments this monitor has are great. It has great height, tilt, and rotational adjustments. The stand is a little wide, so it would be nice to get a VESA mount for it since it has that option. I have not regretted this purchase one bit. If you wanted a cheaper option, 144Hz might not be too bad, but at this price, it was worth it coming from a 60Hz display!

TL;DR/Key-points: This is a "super ultrawide" monitor. Dual 24-inch screen equivalency. Matte black finish over majority, gloss in areas you don't usually touch/look at. Thumb stick for menu navigation. 144Hz, 90% gamut. Not nauseating. HDMI and DP, cords included. Has power adapter and long cable. Comfortable curve. Adaptive-sync and Freesync supported, but not G-Sync. Full review Matte black finish over the vast majority of it, and the only gloss areas are in places you'll never touch. Screen has a very comfy curve and I haven't seen any glare at all. This thing has the usual ASUS tilt stick for the monitor settings menu which feels extremely natural, and is why I can't use any non-ASUS monitors unless they have it. Monitor comes with a lot of very helpful settings such as a few on-screen crosshairs for a big but ethically questionable advantage (as if that matters lol). The refresh rate is 144Hz so while the size may strain your neck a bit from looking around so much, your eyes will feel fine and it won't be nauseating unless you play at a low FoV. Some games don't work very well with a screen this wide due to improper game coding (I.E. stretching at the sides, compression in the middle), but games that are made right will look and feel GLORIOUS. Browsing the web can be a bit annoying for websites that have their content locked to the left- or right-hand sides, but sites that have centered content are a dream. The new mobile-like layouts will finally make sense to you. This monitor type is called a "super ultrawide", or a "doublewide" because it's the equivalent of two 24" screens joined together without the bezel. If you want the equivalent of two screens but don't want two monitors, or if you just want a lot of one-screen real estate, this is definitely the monitor for you. Keep in mind that the screen is almost 4 feet long and weighs like 50 pounds when considering it. The stand itself is about 2 feet wide and a foot long, so make sure to measure to see if you can fit it. Overall, it's a fantastic monitor and I can't see myself using anything smaller willingly. I don't like to give out 5-star reviews unless it's deserved, and this behemoth deserves a 5-star review.

This is a freesync monitor. I have a cyberpowerpc custom built EVGA SC2 1080 Ti and it works flawlessly without any tearing or lag when hardcore AAA gaming. Even with video/photo editing it works well and the colors are fine to me. I'm not a pro video/photo editor, but a causal computer user and gamer. I love the Rog Strix stuff and also enjoy the subtle RGB lighting behind it. I have the RGB bug. The cons are not knowing what it would have been like if I bought the Gsync version but that would also mean I'm spending about at least $500 more for the similar monitor from ASUS Rog Strix line just for the gsync and a TN monitor which is a big no no for me. The VA monitor on this cheaper version is way better than TN. I think VA is in between the TN and IPS monitors in regards to color and visual quality. I use to have the predator B1 i believe, 24 inch TN gsync monitor and it was bad and nothing compared to this one. I really enjoy my purchase and VERY happy with it. I dont mind that it doesnt come with speakers because you dont need it. I got myself better speakers, the LG G560 and its like a RGB EDM dance party in my room. The monitor's base is so firm and solid, I can't rock it at all and just because you dont put the table too close to the edge. It has two ports: one DP and one HDMI. The DP goes to my EVGA 1080 TI and the HDMI obviously goes to my xbox one X. Its a huge man cave here. I'm so happy with the monitor and glad I didnt go for the 24 inch because this 27 inch was just perfect. I'm coming from a 27" iMac 2013 model and I thought initially this monitor was going to be like the imac but its not because it doesnt have the huge bezel around the monitor. Overall happy! Now, I'm tempted to save up money and if the rog strix line for IPS gsync monitors get cheaper, maybe i'll look into that and give this one to my wife to use. Even she loves this monitor. So far no problems with it even after shipping to Hawaii! Update 30 Oct 2018: These line of monitors are so good, I bought the XG35VQ as well to add. No dead pixels. No color issues or panel problems. The box that came with it was damaged due to UPS shipping due to raining a lot in Hawaii today. I dont think Amazon shipped me a slightly damaged and wet box. The monitor inside was dry so that was good. It hooked up very well. I had to get used to the settings since it was slightly different from my XG27VQ next to it. I dont like the ELMB feature because of ghosting with my 1080 Ti. I know this is a freesync monitor, but I didnt want to pay for the expensive gsync feature. My XG27VQ works perfectly and pictures are beautiful, now with this XG35VQ, this is a HUGE beauty that makes me feel like I'm at a star wars battle station. I can't play youtube videos on full widescreen but its still good if you dont mind the black bars on the side, which I dont since I mainly bought this ultrawide screen for the screen real estate for productivity and heavy PC gaming with WoW, CODBO4, Fortnite. I play other titles like BF1, BF5 when it was in beta, destiny 2, dragon ball Z, assassins creed odessy on my xbox one X connected to my XG27VQ. Overall these two monitors are BEASTS with my 1080 Ti. I am a happy customer. Now, how do I get my copy of COD BO4?

I've only had this monitor for 3 days, so these are my experience from 3 days with the monitor. This is by far the largest monitor I've ever had personally, a 31.5 inch display is massive compared to a 24, or even a 27 inch display. The extra screen space provided by a 2560x1440 monitor is massive, and quite substantial for work flow/gaming/general use. The pixel quality/density is strong, I don't feel like the pixels are giant like I've seen on some monitors in stores/demos, but maybe someone has considerably better eyes than I do would be able to point that out. As for colour, this is a very vibrant monitor with a large gamut of options available to play with. I will state that I do not like ANY of the presets that came with the monitor, and very quickly opted for a "User Settings" option which allowed to me to customize this to my satisfaction, once I had done that I was very satisfied with the colours/brightness of the image. The monitor has an excellent refresh rate, looks crisp and clean playing videos. The monitor is fairly responsive in gaming situations. I went from an ASUS VG248QE, which has a 1ms response time to this monitor with a reported response time of 4ms. I cannot say that I've noticed a difference, it is a subliminal level of difference and something that I might pick up over time, however as all I've really done on this monitor to this point is play competitive games I feel I can safely say that the difference between 4ms, and 1ms, is not something that will effect your performance in a game unless you're already playing at the upper echelons of what anyones skill can play at. Overall, I would say I have three issues with this monitor, but they do not detract from it's impressiveness in my mind. Issue #1: The stand is not the most aesthetically pleasing stand, it's far too "Gamer" quality and aesthetic. I will admit it is at the very least a very sturdy stand. Issue #2: The monitor did not come with a display port cable. It came with a mini-display port, not a huge deal, but kind of silly. I spent this kind of money, you might as well give me both, no? Issue #3: The monitor when plugged in via USB extender, and via Displayport-Mini will appear in your computers "Playback devices", despite not actually being a source of audio. The monitor requires a 3.5mm audio cable to provide audio, that's not a problem, I'm not bothered by that. I am bothered by it appearing in my "Playback devices" as a default device despite not being capable of producing audio without said cable plugged in, which also did not come with the monitor.
