"Who understands that things are only worth what you're willing to give up for them."
I saw “Peter and the Starcatcher “on Broadway with the original cast and it was a great time in the theatre. Christian Borle’s performance as Black Stache was stellar in many many ways. It is a play that is much more enjoyable in performance than it is in reading.I liked the experience of reading this text, but to truly appreciate what Rick Elice (the playwright) has done here you really need to see it performed. And performed well. The myriad amounts of word play, verbal humor, etc. comes across best on stage, however I still had a grin on my face most of the time while reading this lovely play.Although “Peter and the Starcatcher” is a comedy there are more than a few touching moments in it, some of them powerfully so. One particular exchange (on page 99 in this edition) hits home and in as concise a manner as I have come across articulates the power of love, belonging, and friendship. The ending of the play is appropriate and works well.“Peter and the Starcatcher” is sentimental, funny, witty, adventurous, imaginative, and touching. I’ll take those things over the alternatives any day of the week.A note, I think you would enjoy the experience of reading this piece, after seeing it performed.

Love this play!!!
I love this play! Easily one of my favorites! It’s a wonderful prequel to the Peter Pan story we all know and is so wonderful to see onstage and use for monologues and scenes!

Beautiful
Gorgeous edition of a gorgeous show. I'm currently in rehearsals for this play and I much prefer reading and studying from this script than the one provided to us from MTI. It's easier to hold and carry with just one hand and easy to read. Not very much room in the margins, though, so not great for writing in tons of blocking.

Perfect companion when I am on the go!
Our church is doing this theater production this summer and I don't have to drag my real script when on tha go. Plus is a momento for our show!

Interesting story.
I haven't read it all the way through yet but it looks very interesting. It's also very long. It will be interesting to see what interest it has with our small group.

Fast paced and fun
Fast paced and fun. I would love to produce this show. It gives a different take on the origins of the beloved Peter Pan and provides an insight into the secrets of Neverland.

Absolutely delightful!
Incredibly funny! Having just seen the stage edition, I was anxious to read some of the words I didn't hear well (old ears, here...rather no hear)The story is wonderful, imaginative, fast moving, and delightful. If you liked Peter Pan either as a child or an adult, you'd love this play.!
