I’ve been using the OGX Repair & Protect Bond Protein Heat Protect Spray for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly so impressed. First of all, it’s super lightweight, it doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy, sticky, or weighed down at all, which is a huge plus for me. I can spray it on before styling and my hair still feels soft and natural. I use heat on my hair pretty often (blow dryer + straightener), and this spray gives me peace of mind knowing my hair is protected up to 450°F. I’ve noticed way less dryness and my ends look healthier compared to before I started using it. It also helps smooth frizz a bit and makes my hair look more polished after styling. The scent is really nice too, not overpowering, just clean and fresh. And the bottle lasts a while since you don’t need a ton of product each time. Overall, if you’re someone who styles your hair with heat regularly and wants something effective but still lightweight, I would definitely recommend this. It’s a great addition to my routine and I’ll be repurchasing!

Love this product! I have white thinking hair. So I have to use an iron. This product not heavy or leaves any trace of oil.spray is lite and smells fresh. Follow directions on can. I spray lightly and use ion on damping hair- let dry, then combine out and spray with hairspray. Brush out b4 going to bed. Stays well overnight, if it needs touch up- spray with product again My hair is doing so much better! Nice clean product!

Smells so good! I was ambivalent to buy bc it’s promoted by influencers (learned the hard way they don’t always promote products that are worth it) but I really like the way this sprays on. It’s a little heavy on my medium hair & can turn greasy quick so it’s just abt finding the right amount. Seems like it’s doing its job, my hair styles come out great and my curly, frizzy hair comes out smooth!

This has become my most used product which I deem an essential part of my hair care routine. I can spray it on my dry hair and it greatly reduces frizz. Spraying it on wet hair gives it a detangling effect. It smells amazing, it’s long lasting. I love the functionality of the bottle-it gives a gentle mist which helps you not to use too much and it applies very lightly to avoid becoming greasy. Since using it, the health of my hair has changed drastically. It’s been growing at a rapid pace and it looks shiny and glossy. I will keep buying this product!

This is apparently a protein rich product, which is why I was hesitant to buy it. I saw a trusted hair care channel recommend it as an extra bond repair step in the routine so I decided to give it a go. The first thing that I realized is that you cannot apply this to dry hair. Even after the moisture goes away, it’s going to leave that hard film. That is just really weird to work with. So if you are using a flat iron, do not apply this right before styling, use it when your hair is wet, and let it dry completely. The continuous spray bottle feature is really cool. It does actually disperse the product quite evenly. The mist is very fine so for coarse hair I feel like I always have to end up using a lot even if technically I don’t. The amount that comes in this product is pretty fair. And the ingredients are okay too. It does have Amodimethicone, which is good. That is an amazing ingredient for hair, elasticity, and protection. The protein content in this is something I personally cannot measure. I’m not a hair chemist, but I would assume because the brand is marketed as being protein repair I would assume that if you have a bleached hair, that is very porous and has obviously had most of the bonds broken down. You’re probably going to benefit from this more than someone with Virgin hair. My hair is a virgin and I would say it’s maybe slightly heat damaged because obviously even with a good heat protectant, there is still going to be some degree of damage. I find that this product does not give me that super shiny finish at the L’Oreal heat slayer (from their dream lengths line) gave me. But on the plus side this product comes with more heat protectant, and extra added bond repair feature is going to add up in the long run and help you out a lot. Overall, I’m still on my 2-3 month of using it on my styling days which is every 4 days when I wash my hair (I had bought a bottle prior from target) I’m not extremely impressed so far with the bond repair aspect of this because I’m not entirely sure how to measure that on hair that is not significantly damaged, but I would say it’s still worth having this product to my routine if it is helping somewhat with breakage. My breakage in general is not as bad as it was back in 2024 because I’ve added other bond repair and damage repair steps to my routine, but I would say this is adding something to it. Give this a go just for the sake of trying it and if you end up liking it then yes you should continue buying it because this product surprisingly runs out of stock fast.

Smells good, the scent is a bit strong. It's working great for my curly hair. It looks good. I add it to my hair when it's wet before I style it. My hair doesn't come out frizzy or anything. It doesn't leave my hair greasy.

For an affordable heat protectant it does a great job! It leaves no film or stickiness. It’s also misty when you spray it which I prefer because it doesn’t drench your hair. And I think it is protecting my hair, I’ve noticed less fly aways for sure.

The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is the strength of the scent. It is STRONG. It is a pleasant enough smell, and it fades after a bit, but man it might knock you down at first. I LOVE the sprayer - a nice mist that makes it easy to evenly coat your hair. It seems to work well, and my hair still feels healthy after using heat. I will probably buy again just because I love the sprayer so much. But the scent issue might turn me away.

It’s so good it protects your hair well but if you pray a lot on your hair it will feel like oily. Do you know this feeling when you don’t wash your conditioner properly this feel the exact same way when you spray a lot on your hair and straighten it but it’s good
