Pretty basic and easily administered, especially to an unconscious person. Convenient known lifesaving medication. As an emergency physician, I have given hundreds of doses of this over 30 years. The feeling you have when someone goes from barely breathing to talking and looking around is indescribable. It is truly amazing how many people have access to opioids that you would not suspect, especially with the pervasiveness of fentanyl in our country. So, I bought these not for myself, but for a child, or friend, or neighbor, or stranger on the street. It is not cheap, but when balanced with someone’s life, it is a justifiable purchase. It may be worth asking your local congressman why we must pay this rate, when any Canadian can walk into their local pharmacy and walk out with a naloxone pack for free!
