COLOR WOW Dream Coat for Curly Hair – Frizz-Free Curls Made Easy | Moisture-Boosting Spray, Curl-Enhancing Formula

This product is hands down the best product for my curls. I am 57, fine curly hair that frizzes in humidity. I have tried Diva Curl, Aveda product for curls, Kevin Murphy products for curls, drugstore products for curls, you name it. NOTHING has worked and brought out my curls like Color Wow. It leaves my hair so soft - does leave a light cast, but not heavy at all. Curls are bouncy and light. Product is not creamy or greasy - you do need to apply it in sections, but that's not an issue. I will also say that I shampoo my hair twice a week with Hair Story New Wash and that products has improved my hair strength also, so applying Color Wow as a way to bring out the curls is a much added plus. I don't even defuse (although I could but I like the more natural definition of air dry). I could probably use a bit of texturizing spray for added lift because my hair is so fine, but other than that, I'm happy just using this product. Highly recommend!

I would say this stuff definitely works. I have a curl pattern but I've been too lazy /annoyed with my hair to really bother with a "curly girl" routine. Plus my hair never seems to do what I want even if I follow the curly girl routine very closely. I do like that this spray seems to cut through all that nonsense and just "get to the point." After I showered and towel-dried my hair thoroughly, I sprayed a LOT of this product all over my hair, even flipping my hair upside down and spraying the underneaths. I tried to treat separate sections without actually clipping my hair into separate sections. Then I slept in my damp hair overnight. I woke up with sort of a bird's nest. I know that's probably because I slept in wet hair, so I don't blame the product. I could tell the product gave my locks more distinction. I think they would have been much frizzier without the product. The top of my head especially was not frizzy in the slightest. And all of my hair strands felt soft and smooth. I'm going to work on my technique and try to use this product and let my hair air-dry well in advance of bedtime so I can get a better sense of what my curls can really do when I'm not tossing and turning on them and applying friction. (Yes, I used a silk bonnet but it slid off overnight.) I definitely do think this product works exactly as expected. For those of you whose curls are stronger, more robust, and actually are "stubborn" about forming a curl, I think you will love this product. It's going to add definition and smoothness while also supporting your curly texture. No "crunch." Keep in mind I used NO other products. Just this one. I truly think their stated goal of replacing the entire curly girl routine is not that far-fetched.

I'm skeptical about hyped products, but this stuff is unreal. I have extremely fine wavy hair and usually my roots are fairly straight from being weighed down. This spray creates better definition than I thought was possible in my hair, even at the top. It looks best followed by gel for hold and diffused for volume. Without those I know my hair will deflate throughout the day. But on days when I don't feel like handling sticky products or putting any effort into styling this spray alone gets the job done. My hair dries so much faster with this than with other products and it feels exactly the same as it does naturally, except smoother. In my picture I used only this spray (a lot of it) on sopping wet hair, scrunched, plopped in a microfiber towel, air dried for awhile, and finished off for a few minutes with a diffuser.

I love that it helps define my curls really well. I have coarse, thick, wavy hair and this product has by far exceeded my expectations. I’m the type of person who just wants to wash my hair and go, this is the perfect product to show I made an effort but not take all the time using heat does. My hair is still a little frizzy but not as frizzy as normal.

I have never tried the "original" spray, just this one for curls. So I do not have that one for comparison. I only gave this 3 stars- I actually do like it a lot but do to the couple of drawbacks I have with it, I doubt I would by it again. I rarely, if ever, have had a curl enhancer that did not provide any sort of hold that actually kept definition in my hair. So I was a bit doubtful this would but I gave it a try anyway. Well, it does not keep it's definition AT ALL unless I have a good hold of some sort - gel, mousse, hair spray, etc. The first time I tried it, I wanted to test it without any hold. Things were going good and my curls actually looked super pretty. I took my dog for a walk and came back to super frizz and hardly any curl definition. I am not even exaggerating. It wasn't windy outside but there was a good amount of humidity, so I am sure that was the main reason - it's humid here more than not. Next time I tried the same but using a diffuser/dryer. Same thing happened. I have tried using it with a dryer and a round brush for large, smooth curls and that does look really nice but I don't want to always style my hair like that. Since those tries, I make sure to always use a really good hold. This spray does still make a difference in the appearance and curl definition, even though I add other product. In fact a really pretty shape and a lot of shine. I love the way it looks but I also find that I have to use a ton of it (I have very thick hair). So I started saving it only for times when I want my hair to look extra nice - like going out and such - since I cant afford to go through this quickly and buy it again so often. I may eventually get more if I want to have it for a special occasion or something but for the most part I will just use my regular curl product. Though, I am now intrigued to try the original spray for the times that I straighten my hair - so I plan to get that soon!

I have fine curly hair this curly hair coat is great I have tried everything!! Does not weigh hair down leaves hair soft no crunchy !!! Does not work as well on dry hair but this is my go to !!!!

I really like Dream Coat for Curly Hair overall. It does a great job controlling frizz and making my curls look smooth, defined, and polished. My hair feels soft and lightweight, not crunchy or sticky, which I appreciate. Also my second and third day hair still looks great with a little water on it to refresh. There isn't really a scent to it which is nice. I’m giving it four stars because it doesn’t give me big, bouncy curls unless I use a diffuser. Without diffusing, my curls look nice but a bit more relaxed and not as much volume. With the right technique, though, it works really well, and I’d still recommend it for anyone looking for frizz control and curl definition.

It works like a magic, making styling much easier and it stays longer, even in humid weather, much less frizz. I will get it as soon as I finish the last one. Its part of my routin now.

Followed the instructions precisely on towel-dried, combed hair. I was left with beachy waves but more frizz than I even usually have. You'd still need an additional serum or similar on top, so it does not do what is promised and the recommendations are misleading.
