I agree this is hard to open. I used dikes to make 5-6 cuts alone the edge/lip of the lid and it opened fine and bucket and lid are still usable. I saved my last empty bucket, cleaned it out and used the old bucket for ease of opening and for storage. This is way cheaper than pool stores and seems to be excellent quality. I will purchase again for sure!

Great product and fast shipping. Boy were they right about the lid being hard to get off. We had to cut the lid completely off, and transfer everything to another bucket. Even with all of the hassle, it was a better deal to order than buying locally.

Extremely hard to open. Finally had to take a knife to it. Will not buy again. I couldn't see any improvement in the quality of pool water at all.

The bucket top is not removable. you must hatchet the top and pour into another bucket with good top.

Other reviewers were correct. This container was hard to get into and impossible to remain in good shape, to be able to be closed and sealed for later. Use. Everything else about this product is incredible! I would give it five and a half Stars. If the container had have been of better quality. I didn't mind, and I would reorder again, because I have several other containers, from other manufacturers, that still work and operate well. I was able to take this product and place it into another container.

I've been using this just as I was previous brand & keeping water crystal clear. That plus great bucket though hard to open best price of all others. I'll buy again

Worst packaging design ever engineered. Lid is impossible to open properly. I had to cut the top off with a power tool. Ridiculous design do not buy this unless you want to be very frustrated
