It depends on the stock. I'm using it on a 450 Bushmaster and it fits fine. My weapon uses a pretty standard AR adjustable stock.

Fits a DPMS 6 position stock on a 308 very well.

Fits well, works well. I bought this for a DPMS Panther, Gen 1, in 308. The gun uses a DPMS 6 position stock, and I was concerned it might not fit, but it did. I didn't have any particular problem getting it on going top to bottom, taking care to get the side tab aligned. Did a couple of mags and it reduced the felt recoil enough to be noticeable. It also extended the eye line just a little, but that was actually an unexpected benefit. All in all very pleased with it.

Decent shoulder pad

Pretty decent shoulder pad. It fits my M4 stock perfectly; it's not too difficult to put on and I have no concerns that it will come off accidentally. The padding is just OK. It's not super cushiony, but it's a definite upgrade from the plastic cheese grater.
