TINY AND MIGHTY
I have gone through 3 of these radios. The only word of caution is make sure your voltage supply does not exceed 13.8v. Also the Quad watch is a bit confusing and doesn't work as well as I would like. It is a solid radio and works well as you would expect. The size is perfect for a cup holder installation.

Great Price for a dual band 25W VHF UHF transceiver
I've used this UV-25X2 for several months now. The instruction manual is easy to follow and It's relatively easy to program. I have gotten good signal reports on both 2 meters and 70 centimeters. The transmit and received audio is good. I was pleasantly surprised at how small this transceiver is. The only improvement I would like to see is in the knobs. They are made of soft rubber and are easy to fall off and lose. Sometimes they come off in my fingers while making adjustments. I'd suggest that they should be made of hard rubber or plastic. The price is great for a dual band 25W vhf/UHF transceiver.

Works great so far
I only got the radio just a few hours ago and haven't been able to play with it much, but so far I like it. The only things I've been able to do are program it via chirp and play with a few of the dials. I haven't even hooked up an antenna to it yet. Pro's so far: - Solid construction. This radio doesn't feel cheap. Its not heavy, but its not light either, It feels really good in the hand. I inspected the radio thoroughly after unboxing and I couldn't find any tool marks, scratches, nicks, dings, or other deformities in the body, buttons, or knobs. Same story with microphone. Its perfectly sized and fits really well in the hand. Buttons are well positioned and the PTT has a very tactile 'click" when it is engaged, not mushy at all. - Size. This thing is small. Great for use in a smaller car. - Easy to program. I purchased a PC04 programming cable with my order and used CHIRP to program the radio with 120 frequencies. It was a breeze. Took less then 5 minutes. - Screen clarity. Again, I've only had the radio for a few hours and I haven't been able to mess with the different color options yet, but the screen looks great. Cons: - Channel knob likes to skip around if moved quickly. I can't spin the knob quickly to get to a specific channel. Spinning the knob too fast will cause the channel number to only go up 2 or 3 slots or it might even go down a few numbers. I have to manually type in the desired channel number on the mic if its a good distance away in the term of channel numbers. - **This is a personal gripe, not an issue with the radio** The radio must be plugged into a vehicle or a AC to DC power supply to program via computer. I know these radios area markete for "Mobile" use and designed to be used in a vehicle. However, it would be nice if manufacturers would include some kind of adapter for those of us that would like to use mobile radios as base radios without having to buy a $100 power supply. I will provide an update after I've gotten some additional time using it. **EDIT** Someone in the questions asked for pictures of the power connector, so here they are.

Great analog radio.
The Bfeng radios are great. They're well made and now made in the USA. The frequency coverage is excellent, radio is compact, has a rear cooling fan and somewhat easy to program using CHIRP. The few negatives are the knobs were very soft rubber that couldn't turn the volume or channel without slipping. I don't understand why they'd use a knob so 'soft'that it couldn't perform it's important function. These radios do quite a bit and are an excellent value. With that, amateurs or idiots can violate and interfere with public safety units. Not good, especially when public safety is involved. While the CHIRP software is not really associated with this review, MANY will use it to program these radios. The radios can perform many functions that one may not know or understand when programming. If I were an amateur or new to programming I'd go to a 'radio guy' that understands the great features CHIRP offers and will guide you. Lastly, if you program public safety bands and transmit on them these radios can be 'recognized', remotely shut off or located so please play within your boundaries.
