It works!!
I was a bit sceptical about whether this would work but with a one year unlimited money guarantee I felt it was worth the risk…. I am delighted to say that this has reduced the lime scale in our water dramatically. The kettle hasn’t scaled up yet and the water tastes so much better. Shower gels and shampoo lather better. We bought the 5+ bedrooms version which was oversized for us but it was worth it. It’s is so simple to install that most people could do so without any special tools or skills. We live in a very hard water area and the difference is impressive.

Works.....or does it?
i bought one of the Little Plumbers just over a year ago as I (obviously) live in a hard water area. Does it work? I think it works in some small way. By this I mean I certainly see less cloudy marks on washed glasses, less scale build up on the shower screens and less scale around taps. But it doesn't completely remove all scale build up in your house. I don't agree with reviews that say everything is now gleaming and there is no scale at all - I think this is misleading.SHould you buy one? Not if you expect it to solve all your problems. Am I happy I bought it? Overall, I am as there is less scale to remove when cleaning.

Don't waste your money!
September 2012 "Bought both the LP1 and LP2 around the beginning of June (nearly £300). The Mira Electric shower developed fragments of scale which started to appear in the shower head indicating to me that limescale was being reduced. The kettle still has limescale build up, but it is better. Nearly eight weeks after installation, I feel that the very hard East Anglian water we experience has been softened, to a degree, but I'm still trying to convince myself that this system is worth the money.April 2016 - Had a water softener fitted in 2015 after giving myself a slap in the face in order to stop deluding myself that the LP1 and LP2 actually work! I think because I had spent so much money on what are effectively a couple of transformers with a little bit of electronics/wire attached, I found it hard to accept that I had been so foolish. Ah well, maybe I will learn from this experience.....

Worked great, till it stopped
This is easy to install and made a real difference right up until one of the channels stopped working.Reported waiting for a response.

Work in progress
Installed the PL2 a couple on months ago even though we only have a 3 bedroom house and not 4/5 as designed for and so far it shows a reduction according to the “hardness water test kit” of borderline 250/425 (favouring 425) to 180/250 (favouring 250).Hopefully this will improve more in the next future months.

Excellent Product
We live in a hard water area and have to replace the electric shower every 2 years. Thought we would try this as the shower needed to be replaced. Within 2 weeks the LP2 has paid for itself as we have not needed to replace the shower, which is now nearly limescale free. We have also noticed that the dishwasher and washing machine programmes are faster and the sinks and bath are much cleaner. Easy to fit if you know what you’re doing - perhaps the negative reviews are because the LP hasn’t been fitted correctly? Would 100% recommend.

No significant improvement of water descale!
After one week, I have not seen the difference of the water softener! The scale shows on the jug quickly!

So far so good, manufacturer says that it will take up to six months to get full benefit.
