Silverline Scissor Jack 1 Tonne 1000kg (755985)

We always go for cheap when we need something done on a budget...but I needed a jack to do a spot off work on my car. Despite the negative reviews I bought it anyway and was not disappointed. It's a very sturdy jack, came well packaged and I had no issues with it. When it arrived I tested it on my car first then simply applied some heavy duty grease on the threads so it would run smoothly. I used it to do the job and had no issues with it. I'm saying good value for money and I'm not disappointed. Only result for 4 star on sturdiness was there is no groves on the top part of the jack but two bumps. Would prefer a Grove or split there but it works regardless.

My MX5 came without a jack (no spare wheel, so why do you need a jack, the salesman said). However, if you need to drop a wheel off then a jack is necessary. This one will do the trick nicely and fits in the MX5 perfectly. Needs a rubber top so as to fit the jacking point (weld seam), so got one at the same time from Amazon as well.

Pain in the arse to use (I don’t jack up cars regularly), but does do it, feels sturdy jacking up Mazda 3 2017. Had a hole in my tyre, cheaper to buy this, remove the wheel, take the wheel to the garage and get the wheel plugged (25£), than to buy a new wheel (200£) So opted for that 👍

If I'd kept the box I would have returned it, bit flimsy and not sure how it would cope with what its supposed to do. The handle attachment won't stay in place. Overall, wish I'd done a bit more research. I'll keep in the garage and get one from Halfords for the car.

purchased this to prop up my motorcycle while I work on the front end. does the job perfectly. added some cushioning to prevent scratching the engine.

Terrible product, not worth wasting your money on. The first time i had to use this (changing a tyre by the roadside) the screw thread chewed up meaning i couldn't lower the jack. As a result, the extra effort required to turn the screw snapped the handle. Fortunately a kindly passing motorist used his own (much better quality) jack to help raise my car, change my wheel and retrieve the now useless broken jack with its thread stuck in the upright position. Lesson learned. Low price is not always good value.

Fitted like a glove, took about 1 minute to install - fixed built in fridge when the fear was a costly call out or a new one! Nice one.
