Knitters Pride Knit Blockers Set

The BEST Blocking supply I have seen!!
I really love the way that these work!! I am new to the whole blocking thing because I never made any items that required it. I ordered this and when it came I was blown away by the storage packaging first off. It is a very sturdy plastic box, not flimsy at all which was what I was expecting. The box contains an instruction card (folded) and and 12 blocking squares that have 8 pins and 8 blocking squares that have 4 pins. The pins are secured in the box by a foam base so they don't move around.Be advised the pins are sharp and if you aren't careful they will stick you. That being said, they worked very well to secure the shawl that I was making. There are plenty of them and unless your project is unusually bendy, you should have plenty!!The blocking squares are made of a dense type of plastic that is also sturdy. The blockers have zero flexibility though so if you want to bend them a bit, I would suggest something else. The pins are rust resistant and stainless steel. I would advise making sure that the pins are dry before storing them away though. I have had these a while now and the only suggestion that I would have would be to have a set that is flexible to go around a curve. For now though, I will continue to use these for Most project and my single blocking pins for the rest.I hope this helps!!

Finger friendly blocking solution
These things are much easier to use than plain old blocking pins. They come in a good, sturdy box, are easy to use and then easy to store, and work as advertised. I use them on their own and also with my blocking wires instead of pins. One note: If you're going to be blocking large items and want to use just these (i.e., don't use them in conjunction with blocking wires), you'll probably need two sets. The "finger friendly" part is that each unit is a nice big piece of plastic to push into the board and pull out ... much more pleasant to use than individual pins, which can be hard to grasp. The sharp part of these pins is just exactly as sharp as a regular blocking pin ... not very finger friendly at all, but useful.

Saves tons of time!
This product performs exactly as described and saves a ton of time when blocking large items. I blocked a shawl and was able to quickly pin it out. The pins are fairly sharp and I had no problem using them with my blocking mat. The blocking pins come in a hard plastic case with a foam bottom that prevents the pins from being bent in storage. I do agree with many other reviewers that you will definitely need more than one set if you are blocking larger items. I ended up buying two sets and used most of the longer pins and all of the shorter ones to block a shawl. I did still use T-pins for the scalloped edge but overall these blocking pins are worth the $25 price tag.

Blocking Revolution!
These are a revolution! No more placing individual pins to block in straight lines, dealing with scalloped bumps on the edges of straight scarves... makes blocking just a little easier and less cumbersome. Love that they come in their own box for storage. These don't replace straight pins completely - you'll need those for making those scallops when you do want them, like in lace knitting. But for straight projects like scarves, triangle scarfs, and especially QUILT BLOCKS AND GRANNY SQUARES, these are a dream. I specifically bought them to do log cabin squares which need to be perfect squares, 16x16 and these made them a breeze.I might end up getting another set just to be sure I have enough for larger projects.

100x better than t-pins!
Oh, man. I just love love love these things! I love them so much, I bought a second pair! So much easier than using individual T-pins to block your knitting (although sometimes I still use t-pins or t-pins plus knit blockers, depending on the project). I know these are a bit spendy, but they are, like all the other Knitter's Pride products I've used, very well made and I imagine they'll last me a lifetime! These make blocking your knits quick and easy and really help you avoid scalloping around the edges you can get with your work sometimes when using t-pins.I will be buying sets of these for as gifts for my knitting friends in the future, that's for sure!

I have finally had the opportunity to use these and they are wonderful ! Made a large throw and had to block it and these are extremely easy to use I wish I would have had another package of them . It was my first project doing blocking and these were so helpful and simple to use ! They did the job so easily and did a great job!

Lines don't match up
The blocks in this set fit together nicely and are easy to put together. They can be arranged to fit most hand crocheted items. I ordered an additional set to use with larger items like dresses. They are thick enough to insert the pins deep enough to hold your crocheted or knitted item in place. The pins are rust proof, which you definitely need for blocking. My only complaint is that the lines do not match up on all of the blocks. They are close, but not perfect.
