When attempting to put the tags on the plate of my new (preowned) X5, I realized the hardware had rusted and stripped out making what should have been a 5 minute task a real PIA. The only way to remove it was to tear the whole thing off and grind the bolts off. So I needed a new one of these to mount the plate back on. Perfect fit easy install seems sturdy enough .. no issues.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Well made. Fits perfectly. The screw holes are reinforced with brass (it appears) so a solid mount. I added a lock washer for each screw to keep them tight. Great product - good value!

Almost a perfect fit. Slightly different ho,e pattern on one side than pictured allows some shifting up or down if for some reason the holes in your car are lopsided (no idea why this would be needed). Unfortunately on my 2007 X5, the holes are slightly not far enough apart. But it’s plastic so it stretched (minus 1 star). Overall a good replacement part.

Fits perfect, not as sturdy as original, new anti-theft screws with key.

I bought this to replace the bracket that came with my 2023 G80 M3 Competition. This is a notable improvement and functions perfectly.

This was not a PERFECT fit for my 2014 Z4, it was a little tight and had to be wrestled into place. (in this case it’s replacing part #5112 8038089, which is NOT listed in the description as compatible). But it still works better than the OEM piece from BMW - what does that say about BMW parts? After 5 years the OEM piece was stripped out and useless, since the plate screws directly into weak plastic. This new replacement has sturdy metal bushings for the screws, AND COSTS JUST 20% of what they’re getting for the BMW part! BMW has a proven talent for taking the simplest parts and over-designing them into hopeless complication and dysfunction. This is the simple design they should have used at the factory.

This plate holder fit my E90 very well, but the fasteners corroded. When I went to replace the fasteners the heads broke on all four screws securing the plate to this holder. I’ll have to order another, as extracting the broken fasteners destroyed the threaded inserts, and will source my own fasteners. Maybe even use a little anti-seize.

I have a Dodge Journey 2012 and while switching out the license plate, one of the bolts stripped and I wasn't able to put the new license plate on. Fits the car well enough (although still slightly off, e53 x5) but doesn't fit Australian plates at all. Had to drill 4 new holes on the plate. Would return but need a mount and have no other options locally in time. Will be replacing once another arrives.

I bought an almost identical one to this one back in 2018 under a different brand name; it came with the exact same hardware and packaging. The frame fits perfectly and works just as good if not better than OEM, the biggest problem is the screws, as they’re prone to rusting and eventually become impossible to remove without the heads breaking off. If you need a rear plate frame, I would certainly get this one and then outsource a better set of screws within 6 months.
