I have been very grateful I found this product. I have naturally medium brown hair with lots of grey that I have stopped coloring. I have a very abrupt transition point with the grow out that is all in the most noticeable areas at the hairline and around my face. This syle edit root touch up tool is helping me hide/blend that transition better until I fully grow out the hair dye. It is not cheap but it does work well. It is easy to apply precisely, there is a blending tool at the other end of the stick that also works well. It moves/rubs off less than the Madison reed powder. Warning about the color- the medium brown is a warm brown, so if you have ash medium brown you might prefer the dark brown color because it is a more neutral tone. you will probably have to bite the bullet and buy one of each to experiment.

I first bought the wrong color, dark brown for my dark red hair. I returned it and bought the medium and works beautifully! Covers like it is describes, easy to apply. My grays are pretty noticeable, but this pencil is wonderful, I fully recommend it!

I got this root touch‑up stick to help cover the white hairs in the front, and it works exactly the way I hoped. It usually washes out with my next shampoo, but that’s perfectly fine since I only need it for temporary touch‑ups. For what it’s meant to do, it performs really well and has become a handy part of my routine before going out.

This is a great product for covering grey hair. It is very pricey but a little goes a long way. I get the dark brown shade and it blends well with my natural hair. The product is not sticky and stays in my hair until it is washed out. I use a small clean mascara brush to blend the hairs around my face for a more natural look.

I've tried all types of cheap gray roots cover up, they always just made a mess of my face, my hair would look like I had "helmet head", or the kind with the mascara brushes would just leave clumps of color on my hair and my face. This is the first gray root cover up out of all of the ones I've tried that actually works, and it's easy to apply as well. I couldn't believe it. The price is obviously much higher, but when I think of all the money I've spent on products like these that don't work and I throw in the trash, it's worth every penny. I'll now have more time between going to the salon as well, which obviously saves a lot of money.

Not great. It smudges easily and streaks. The best brand that has one of these sticks is bumble and bumble. The color I needed was out so I bought this brand. Terrible. I used it to cover around my forehead and it bled!
