I have been learning how to do punchneedle via utube, and noticed many experts use this type of embroidery hoop. It is double sided so it can rest in your lap, so you don't have to hold it while trying to work. I bought the 7 and 10 inch size. I looked at the 10 and 14 inch size, and if you were using the 10 side, the 14" side seems too big to fit on your lap. Works great. They recommend using a piece of scrap fabric on the hoop you aren't using so it will sit on your lap securely.It is the greatest invention. no fatigue from trying to hold a hoop and work. For punchneedle, I don't think you could even do it without one of these gadgets. Highly recommended for anyone doing crafts where you need to use a hoop.

I picked up a cross stitch project that I started almost 30 years ago. However, my eyes aren't what they were all those years ago, so trying to hold the hoop at just the right distance so I can see where to make the stitch has become a challenge. This lap stand makes a big difference. I no longer have to use one hand to hold the hoop up close as I work to find where to place the needle. Much sturdier than I expected.

This is a sturdy product, much sturdier than thin wooden hoops. However, the first time I used one, it was for a project the size of the hoop. This was a big mistake, since the system that makes it possible to use these as a frame includes 3 plastic circles around the edges -- as a result I had a hard time embroidering right to the edge of the hoop. I solved the problem by using the larger hoop for the project, so that the area I as working on was well within the edging.

Never had used a hoop like this before while doing embroidery and it sure helps with minimizing the strain on your hands. Holds frantic securely without any rough edges..

This has saved me from poking myself with the needle 🪡 and also just being able to stitch better. Wish I got this at the beginning of my embroidery journey.

O.M.G!!! I am awestruck!! I have been doing cross stitch for 20 some years, and this is the first I've ever seen / used one of these! Let me tell you, it is an absolute game changer!! It is simple to assemble (I had it put together in less than 2 minutes!), super versatile, the hoops hold the fabric perfectly (much better than the wooden ones), and it is a pleasure to work with, as I can work from both the top and bottom if I want to. I'm obsessed with this hoop combo and I really can't see going back to using a single wood hoop. Try it, you'll see what I mean! Also, this particular seller shipped super fast!
