It hardens within 10 minutes, and changes color from black to grey, so you know it's working. I wash it off with a wash cloth and warm water. I still need a light cream cleanser to remove all the mask residue. And that's it! I have to apply a super thick layer for it to remove blackheads. It dries out skin horribly. And you have to be committed to this one: it makes a huge mess; because you have to apply so much, it’s takes forever to get off your skin; if you have any deep pores, the product gets stuck in there until you wash your face; it gets under your nails, up your nose, everywhere. And pray that you don’t get it on a wall that has matte paint - it will not come off!The reason I gave it two stars is because when it does work, it completely unclogs your pores.
