You almost don't even have to think about whether or not to get these lights. Get them! The price is amazing, and the functionality is so on point. I purchased the eight pack of the white motion sensor lights for my 93-year-old friend who fell last week because when she got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, it was dark. For her, that meant she gets a little wobbly and disoriented. She fell and broke her foot and is now on a walker and in a boot. The first thing I did is bought her one of the motion activated lights for under her bed, which was great, but it lights up every time you walk by it. These lights light up every time you walk by them when it is dark out. I put a couple under her bathroom cabinet and one next to the toilet, which helps her make it safely to the commode and back to her bed. If you have any senior citizens in your life, these are a no-brainer gift to get them. However, they make sense for everyone. When the power goes out, they can easily light your path to wherever you keep the candles or flashlights. When you open your closet, they can give just enough light to give you the thing that you need to get quickly. They do not stay on for very long, which is a bonus to me because the batteries might wear out quicker. Here are a few features: They are small, so they fit everywhere. They are bright, so they illuminate a wide area. They are inexpensive and are sold in a multiple pack, which helps cover lots of dark areas. They're easy to install, using just a two-sided tape, so anyone can install them. They have options that come in different colors of red green blue and white if that's your preference. They take three, AAA batteries, which I anticipate changing quite infrequently. Get them. You were thinking about it, or you wouldn't be looking at this review. They're not very expensive, and they work!

Bought these for my mom as she had slipped on her stairs and fortunately did not hurt herself. She claimed it was because she was lazy and hadn’t turned on her light. Noticed she had her front door open the other day which was unusual and she said it was so it was light in the foyer and she didn’t have to turn on her stairway lights. Installed one of these as a test and was pleasantly surprised with its brightness. It takes 3 AAA batteries per light but is easy to stick to the wall with double stick tape (included). It turns on with movement and stays on about 20 seconds. Will see how it does over the next month but for now I would recommend as a convenient and affordable way to have simple lighting.

Put them going up my stairs. My 4 year old grand daughter is staying here with her dad part time and is afraid of the dark. These light up to motion. Nice and bright, not blinding. Way worth the money!! So easy to install and function as they should. They are made well, so I know they will last a long time.

So far, this product has been great for my stairs. The only issue is that one light stays on and doesn’t automatically turn off, which will likely drain the batteries quickly. Aside from that, I’m very pleased with these motion sensor stair lights.

These lights work great in my stairwell. They are bright enough that I no longer need to turn on the overhead staircase light when going downstairs after dark. The motion sensor works very well. Even when I simply walk past the stairwell, the second level of the staircase still lights up if the area is dark. They also use very little battery power. My cat walks up and down the stairs all night long, constantly triggering the lights, and the batteries still last for a couple of months. Overall, this is definitely a great product, and I would purchase them again if needed. My daughter was visiting recently and liked them so much that she said she wants to buy some for her dark hallway as well.

I really enjoy having stair lightings light as I walk by. It makes it easier to walk in the dark, It saves electricity, and it even looks cool when they're all lit up! 10 out of 10 would recommend. I would also suggest buying bulk batteries here on Amazon to go with them for easy replacement. They stick well and also seem to be removable if your paint isn't the cheap barely hanging on kind that peels off the wall if you breathe wrong on it. The paint in my rental apartment is very high quality so this paint doesn't peel off very easily, making it where I can easily remove the lights if I need to through prying gently and if need be the floss trick.

Lights the area perfectly, no need to turn on lights when moving temporarily from room to room. Scattered them around house. Easy mounting if needed.

This is a decent product in the right areas, but overall i am not loving it. - Not for open staircases : We have a short flight of stairs going up and down from our main living room, and wanted these lights for night time. The staircase going up is open (no wall) and i placed the sensor low to the stairs, but even then it turns on if it senses motion in my kitchen, which is about 50 feet away from the stairs. This will surely drain the battery quickly (three AAA per unit) and is not cost effective. - No Brightness Detection : We placed one in the upper hallway and one in the bathroom, even when the lights are on this sensor still activates. - Works well in smaller, less used spaces: Placed in lower staircase that has walls it works as intended, doesn't trigger until we are at the staircase and one light is enough to cover the short flight of 6 stairs. If the device only required 1 AAA battery I would be satisfied, but the lack of brightness detection will make the battery life too low to be worth the price.

These are really cheap and simple, but just what we needed to brighten some dark steps. Motion activated and battery powered they are surprisingly bright when on, and turn off automatically after a minute of no motion. We've placed them along every other step leading down to the dark basemen where shadows make the trip trickyt, but with double-sided tape they can stick anywhere. Pro tip, they're not just for steps you can use them in a dark room or closet or garage to help locate switches and emergency items when the power goes out. Also bright enough to act as a small night light in bathrooms and baby / kids rooms so they can turn them on easily for a little reassurance when needed. They do take 3 AAA batteries, so stock up, especially since these packages come with 8 devices, which makes the price very reasonable.

Got these for a family member to see better on stairs and they really do help and no fuss to set up and provide decent illumination for about 2 months. Would recommend for simple safety step lights
