I do not believe it to be copper at all.. Copper turns green after oxidation, this has started turning black. I washed it with lemon and water but the black stains remain. (after 1 day use the inside of the jug turned black)I have many other copper utensils and when I clean them with lemon and water they shine.. this one is surely not copper.After washing with Vinegar & Lemon too the stains remain and the seller says this is 100% copper.
