This electric carving knife worked great! It cut through our Thanksgiving turkey perfectly—clean slices with no effort at all. I also used it for cutting up bread, ham, and other meats, and it handled everything beautifully. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and makes carving so much faster and cleaner. Very happy with this purchase!

I have carved 3 turkeys and a standing rib roast with this knife. So far so good. Easy to handle, and easy to clean. We see how durable it is. The price was good as well. Will update if an issue comes up.

Bought this specifically for our family Christmas dinner after watching my dad butcher the prime rib last year with a dull carving knife. This electric knife completely changed the game. We had a 7-pound standing rib roast and this thing sliced through it like it was nothing. Perfect, even slices that actually looked like something you'd see in a restaurant. My aunt kept asking if we'd ordered it pre-sliced somehow. The serrated blades cut smoothly without tearing the meat or losing all the juices. The comfort grip handle was clutch because I ended up carving for about 15 minutes straight - the roast, then a honey-glazed ham, then helping slice up some homemade bread. My hand never cramped and I felt like I had solid control the whole time, even when cutting at different angles. Safety lock is smart - with kids running around on Christmas, I appreciated that it couldn't accidentally turn on just from bumping the trigger. The blade release button made cleanup easy - popped the blades out, threw them in the dishwasher with the rest of the dishes. Here's what almost derailed everything: the power cord is RIDICULOUSLY short. Maybe 3-4 feet at most. Our dining room buffet where I was carving is across from the outlets, and I had to scramble to find an extension cord 20 minutes before dinner. Kind of killed the smooth host vibe I was going for. Also fair warning - it's loud enough that conversation stops when you fire it up. Not a huge deal, but just know everyone will be watching you carve. Does the job beautifully and makes you look like you know what you're doing. Just make sure you have an extension cord handy if your carving spot isn't right next to an outlet. Made Christmas dinner way less stressful

I like the balance and weight of this knife. It is comfortable for my arthritic hands and cuts great, especially homemade bread.

I started making my own bread and was getting frustrated trying to slice it and it turning into an aggravating mess. Decided to try this knife and it was the best $20 investment ever. I don't really use it for anything else, but I can imagine it would be great for meats, cheeses, etc. I absolutely love it for my bread making! Frustration gone!

This knife is fantastic. Powerful, sturdy, very sharp and cuts meat like it's butter.

update on my review: This is week 3 and the knife started messing up for me. I was slicing a couple of loaves of bread with it and it stopped working so I thought it might just be overheated. I let it sit for about half an hour & when I tried again it worked for a couple of minutes, then stopped again so I thought, "ok, I didn't let it cool down enough yet." So I let it sit for about 90 minutes or so and the same situation- it worked for a minute or two and then stopped. I had to get a return label for it because I won't keep an instrument like this that works so poorly. If an electric knife can't handle a couple of loaves of bread then it's not a good knife and that is disappointing since Black & Decker's always delivered quality, in my own experiences. Hopefully, the replacement knife will work much better. I will say that Amazon was quick and prompt with handling the return & exchange so I'm happy with Amazon. I've been trying my hand at making homemade bread and of course, the biggest pain has always been slicing the bread nicely. With a manual serrated knife I can get some of the bread sliced nicely but not as thinly as I'd like and then of course, you reach the stage where the bread doesn't slice nicely anymore at all with a manual knife so I was looking for other ways to do this without buying an expensive meat slicer. I was looking into those bread slice boards that are available that give you the proper spacing of where to cut the bread but considering all they do is stand there while you slice, the prices seemed a bit steep for this frugal fellow. I looked into electric knives and decided to take a chance on this since it had a lot of great reviews and I have to say, as much as I HATE spending money on things, this was an excellent investment. Now mind you, I'm reviewing this knife after about 2 weeks of using it so I can't speak for the longevity of the knife but I can tell you that it works absolutely perfectly on slicing homemade bread. I have used it on homemade white bread, homemade french bread loaves so far and I get amazingly thin slices of bread- as good as you would get from store bought slices, only they obviously taste a whole lot better and at least you know what you're putting into your body. I really recommend this electric knife; it's easy to use, easy to clean and for the price, it can't be beat, in my opinion.

Omg this cut the insulation like butter.. so good and easy..there was no issues and it cut fast a d was still sharp after cutting through 70 batts. Highly recommended for this purpose. The handle was easy to hold and the cord was pretty long so it was very easy to use.
