## Description

Product description

Review: My most honest review - I recently purchased Earthborn Elements Diatomaceous Earth to tackle a persistent roach problem in my home, and overall, I am quite pleased with the results. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: #### Effectiveness: ★★★★☆ Earthborn Elements Diatomaceous Earth proved to be quite effective in dealing with the roach infestation. Within a few days of application, I noticed a significant reduction in the number of roaches. It works by damaging the exoskeleton of the insects, leading to dehydration and eventually, death. While it did not completely eradicate the problem, it made a noticeable difference and brought the roach population under control. #### Ease of Use: ★★★★★ Using the diatomaceous earth was straightforward and hassle-free. The product comes in a resealable 1 gallon bucket, which makes it easy to store and keeps it dry. I applied the powder in areas where I noticed roach activity, such as under the sink, along baseboards, and behind appliances. The powder is fine and easy to distribute evenly. A little goes a long way, so the 1 gallon bucket should last for more than a couple of applications. #### Safety: ★★★★☆ One of the primary reasons I chose this product is because it is a natural and non-toxic solution. It’s safe to use around pets and children, which is a huge plus for me. However, I did take precautions to ensure that the powder was not inhaled or ingested, as it can be an irritant. Wearing a mask and gloves during application is recommended. #### Value for Money: ★★★★★ Considering its effectiveness and the quantity provided, Earthborn Elements Diatomaceous Earth offers excellent value for money. It’s a cost-effective solution compared to chemical sprays and traps, and since it lasts long, you won’t need to reapply frequently. #### Versatility: ★★★★★ Beyond roaches, this product is also effective against other pests such as ants, fleas, and bedbugs. I appreciate its versatility, which makes it a handy tool in maintaining a pest-free home. #### Cons: - **Messiness**: Diatomaceous earth can be a bit messy to apply, especially in hard-to-reach areas. It’s important to clean up any excess powder to avoid it being tracked around the house. - **Time to Effectiveness**: Unlike chemical pesticides that kill on contact, diatomaceous earth takes time to show results. Patience is required as it works gradually. #### Conclusion: Earthborn Elements Diatomaceous Earth is a reliable and safe option for controlling roach infestations. Its natural composition and effectiveness make it a worthwhile purchase for anyone looking to manage pests without resorting to harsh chemicals. While it requires careful application and some patience, the benefits far outweigh these minor inconveniences. I would definitely recommend it to others facing similar pest issues.
Review: Fleas begone - Combine with Boric Acid (Skip to end for results) - After years of desertcart use, this is the first product that I’ve reviewed. It has brought so much life back to me after a flea infestation in my tiny 1 bedroom apartment almost broke me. I noticed one of the dogs I was had started itching really intensely over several days and after checking them, I seen fleas. I started bathing him regularly but since he likes to sleep under my bed, it was already too late. 5 fleas turned into 10, then, 20, and before I knew it, I couldn’t even step a toe on my carpet without seeing 5-6 fleas jump and start biting me. I was confident that I would be able to solve the issue quickly so I began using Vets best home spray with my carpet cleaner to hopefully kill them. I will say it did kill some fleas but works better for spot treatments than an entire carpet. After about 2 weeks of that, I did some research and bought this gem and Boric Acid. MAGIC. I combined them both and sifted onto my carpet. Heaps amount (don’t be like me). Super dusty and hard to breathe but at least I don’t have fleas anymore!!!! After sifting, agitate into carpet and leave on for at least 48 hours but I recommend leaving on longer. Combination only kills fleas and larvae, NOT THE EGGS. So when they hatch, it’s be good to have to product still on so it can kill them too! Literally stock up if fleas are a reoccurring issue for you!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this good for bed bugs?**
A: Yes, but it takes a while,i got it for bed bugs too and it took me two or 3 weeks to fix the problem..but it did work..#1 it'll be cheaper than an exterminator & #2 there's no real way to prove they get rid of them all..&it feels good to know for a fact u did it and fixed it..because you did the labor..i use it for other bugs to and that is hard to say it works good and fast.. but i still use it for that too.it just takes a extra while and you might notice only a little difference. Not like wow that worked the best..but it works better on some animals then others.like fleas it might be good for and not for spiders,,etc....but on the worm part, i think i agree to that it helps kill worms..but again in a few weeks time.. but again compare to cost and the time it takes to do other stuff for the Same problem..it balances out..

**Q: What's the shelf life?**
A: Asking the shelf life is similar to asking the shelf life of sand. There isn't one. If you mean, the effective life span when used, it depends on how you use it and where. Inside the house, basically until you clean it up or the drafts from human traffic spread it too thin. Outdoors, varies based on weather such as wind or rain. Sunlight doesn't affect it.

**Q: does the buckets lid have a gasket to seal product ?**
A: Yes the lid closes just fine & it's very easy to open.highly recommend this product as it has so many uses.

**Q: How much does the product weigh**
A: The product description says 2.8 pounds.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More then you think and you need to be smarter then the pail to get in there.
*by J***L on August 15, 2025*

So far, I just got it yesterday, but a few things... 1) people said buck was hard to get into, obvisouly never had to open a large pail before, so you need a pilars to tear the tab and then it tears along the edge. I did not find it hard to open at all... 2) people say it's not as big as the pail looks, that is true, i thought the same thing... but a little goes a long way! this will clean and be used in all 3 of my chicken coops and their dust baths and anywhere else, the bucket is very full! 3) i'm glad it's food grade so i am not worried about my chickens. i'll do a better review after it works or when i use it where i can see changes on effectiveness. i will buy again :)
