I've tried quite a few sulfate free shampoos trying to find one that won't irritate my scalp , they either leave my hair greasy or they dry it right out or they cause my scalp to be more irritated than it already is . This stuff cleans really well , doesn't irritate my scalp , smells great and paired with the daily conditioner makes my hair soft . It helps tame some of the frizz , not all of it . I have highlighted hair that's slightly wavy and haven't seen where this shampoo has removed any of the color . An added bonus is that my scalp is feeling much better after 2 weeks of using this shampoo no more bumps along hairline or scalp . I just wish it wasn't so pricey .

Mop Top clarifying shampoo is my go to cleanser for my curly hair I use it once a week on my fine curls and it gets them clean temp Ives all the build up so I start again with clean hair. The small is also amazing and light my favorite.

Smell is pleasant and quite light. The instructions say to leave on 3-5 minutes and I’d recommend you not skip this step. I do feel like I need to use quite a bit so this shampoo is a bit pricey when you factor that in.

I got this because I was going to try out the curly girl method, which I found out isn’t for me but I still like this shampoo. I try to not wash my hair every day but I live in Florida, and exercise most days so i feel like to feel fresh I do need to wash my hair almost daily, and this shampoo doesn’t dry it out. I use a minuscule amount, spread around in my hands and just wash roots. Works well for my mid length dry at ends but easily greasy roots - hair 👌🏼

Very gentle, my hair feels pretty clean when I use it without drying it out. Trying out this curly girl thing and still in the transition phase. My hair is fine, dense 2b waves and it is pretty oily. Could not comprehend the idea of co-washing considering the oil levels in my hair. I can use this and I feel clean after.

I started the Curly/Wavy Girl Method and tried several "low-poos", but they were too watery and didn't cleanse my hair. Then I tried a MopTop sample kit and loved this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo has the perfect consistency - not too thick but not too watery. For a low-poo it sudses up amazingly, and is easy to scrub into my scalp. I can tell it doesn't cleanse my scalp as well as my clarifying shampoo, but that is to be expected. I will use it 3 out of 4 washes to encourage the natural oils in my hair. It has a great balance of protein vs. moisture. And best of all is the scent - I didn't know bamboo could smell so good! It is an addicting sweet/fresh scent that makes me really look forward to wash days. Which says a lot, as I am usually very sensitive to fragrances and there are many hair products I have to toss because the scents really bother me. I'm loving my journey with MopTop!

I’ve had issues with oily hair and itchy, painful, and flaky patches on my scalp for as long as I can remember.I tried this shampoo on a whim, hoping that this product would work out of the what feels like the millions I’ve tried already. I wash my hair once a week due to sensitive skin and such. I used to was it and then the very next day it was so oily I felt gross. With this new shampoo, my hair doesn’t start getting greasy for a couple of DAYS, I feel like I can actually do things with my hair and go out and do things with my hair. I cant recommend this enough! If you’re looking for a reason to get this, do it! (I do have bleached and dyed hair, so it works great on that kind of hair too 💕)

This shampoo smells weird. When I use it, I kind of feel as though I'm washing my hair with paint thinner. If I've just shampooed with a clarifying shampoo, then this stuff also sudses pretty well -- a pleasant surprise, since most natural products (in my experience) don't. However, if I've been shampooing with this and conditioning with the MopTop conditioner (no other product of any kind -- no stylers, etc.), I get a lot of buildup, my hair feels gross, and it no longer sudses well. I don't know if this is a result of the shampoo or the conditioner -- and I have very hard water, so if your water is soft, you might have better results -- but this was a fail for me.

My hair feels a lot lighter after using this shampoo than any other types of shampoo that usually weigh down my hair. This shampoo is amazing
