Great Product To Get Rid of Gnats!
I will try and keep this review short and hope that it helps you with your gnat problem. I came home from work one day, last September, and noticed a few gnats, but didn’t think too much about it. I had never had a problem with gnats, I never dreamed I would spend a year trying to get rid of them. I bought some window adhesive strips and put on the window in the bathroom, that is where I saw them. Within a week of that they were growing in numbers. I first tried bleach, then tried using baking soda, salt and vinegar for months, that didn’t really help. I wasn’t sure which drain they were coming from, be it the shower drain or sink drain or both. As time went on the gnat problem was growing. It’s now 5 months later and still have the problem. I called a plumber out, he said, Oh, you need to call a pest control company. I called a pest control company and he said use Vinegar, salt and baking soda. LOL I went back online and purchased a KATCHY Indoor Insect Trap: Bug, Fruit Fly, Gnat, Mosquito Killer - UV Light, Fan, Sticky Glue Boards Trap Even The Tiniest Flying Bugs - No Zapper. This worked great! Well, I thought it fixed the problem. But no, gnat problem didn’t go away, because I had not gotten to the root of the problem. It’s now 8 months later. I went online and read and read about gnats. What I was learning was that I need to get rid of the larvae in order to get rid of the gnats. I found Rockwell IBDC128 InVade Bio Drain Gel. This is a great product. It really cleaned the walls of the drain, but still didn’t get rid of the problem. Next product was InVade Hot Spot Bio Foam. This is basically the same product as mentioned earlier (Rockwell IBDC128 inVade Bio Drain Gel) but it’s in foam form. This is a great product, it allows you to turn the can almost upside down, to spray foam in your drain. Doesn’t take much, so it last longer. But, unfortunately that didn’t get rid of the gnats. So, went back online and searched again for something to help me with this problem. Next product I found was Gentrol Concentrate IGR Insect Growth Regulator 10x1oz ZOE1006B and Green Gobbler Fruit Fly Goodbye Gel Drain Treatment | Drain Fly Killer | Fruit Fly Killer | Drain Flies Treatment | Fruit Flies Treatment | Drain Fly & Fruit Fly Eliminator, FINALLY I found something that was getting to the larvae. That is what Gentrol Concentrate IGR Regulator does. It kills the larvae. It doesn’t kill the adult gnats though. You will still have to deal with the adults until the product has successfully killed all the larvae. This can take as much as 2 weeks and then a week or so of treating the problem to make sure it doesn’t come back. The key is to treat the larvae everyday. Thank goodness I found Gentrol and Green Gobbler. I mixed the Gentrol with the Green Gobbler in a 16 oz squeeze bottle. Use gloves when handling this. It took 1 month after I started using it. I can’t say enough about Green Gobbler and Gentrol Concentrate IGR Regulator along with the KATCHY machine. They have successfully gotten rid of the gnats. You may not have the problem as bad as I did, but I wish I could have had this information to help me figure out the fix for the gnats. Lots of luck!

WOW!! Works Great!!!
I had a problem with drain flies in 2020. I tried Drano, bleach (not at the same time as the Drano) and boiling water. Nothing got rid of them! Then I was away for six days so no water used in the two bathroom sinks and they disappeared. Well, they showed up again about six weeks ago. They are so annoying!! So I researched other remedies and found this product. After the first night, there was a greatly reduced number of these pests. I use it every night, 1/2 cup down the two master bath sink drains, shower drain, and also in my hall bathroom sink drain. Tonight will only be my fourth night using it and I only saw a few tiny ones. I am soooo happy! I am OCD about having a super clean house (no shoes past the front door) so having a bug invasion of any kind is upsetting. I'm going to keep using this for the next 10 days and then use it once a week and hopefully they will all be gone. I already purchased my second gallon. I did not notice much of a scent. Update: April 28, 2023 The drain flies are back. :( I started using this product again. I also pour boiling water down each of the two sink drains in my master bath prior to pouring the Invade gel down the drain. Then I close the drain so nothing can get in or out. I do this two or three times in a 24 hour period. Within five days there has been a great reduction in the number of drain flies. I ordered another gallon and it's a light yellow -- not orange like the previous one. I haven't used it yet but will hope whatever the change was in the ingredients that it's either the same or better than the previous solution.

A bit pricey but works well and smells good
I used this to kill the drain flies in a shower on the lower level of our home. I used the entire gallon over a period of 3-4 weeks following the instructions of using it every other day. Initially it killed appeared to kill all of them & the larva, then a few weeks later I started seeing one or two come back so I ordered a second gallon. I used it every day instead (based on a you-tube video) for about a week or two and now have used that gallon about half up and also poured some white vinegar down the drain. Hopefully the drain fly larva is gone, I can't see spending another $30 again when this gallon is used up.

Awesome stuff, I had a drain fly infestation
Awesome stuff, I had a drain fly infestation, i tried bleach down the drain with hot water, i tried just about everything. Fruit fly traps you name it, i could not get rid of these drain flies. This is the only product that actually started working on day one. Yeah there were some flies left but you have to do this for 5 to 7 days every day 4 ounces per drain in the house. In my case i did every drain. I am continuing to do it for 7 days which means i need about 6 gallons. Pricey but you get what you pay for and if you are at the point of no return with drain flies this is a minimal cost to pay to get rid of them. I will be buying this stuff once a month after i go through the 7 days. The idea is to maintain the drains after the treatment to ensure these pests don't come back so it recommends monthly maintenance. I had a pest control guy basically tell me that he couldn't help me and recommended the bleach method. Well if you search about drain flies online everything points to this product and everything i read said bleach dont cut it, it does not break down the things they eat which is organic matter. This product is an enzyme and will break that down and keep your drains clear. Two benefits in one no bugs and no stopped up drains im sold!

THIS is the product you want. You found it.
Ok, I'm one of those people who never leaves reviews but was so blown away by the effectiveness of this product, that I had to come here to convince anyone who is on the fence that THIS is the product you want to get rid of fruit flies. Story time. A long long time ago I had shower drain flies, and they were horrific to get out. The Green Gobbler stuff never worked and it took several months, and scarred and haunted me permanently, but eventually we got rid of them after snaking the drains and replacing pipes.... Fastforward a few years and I'm living with roommates, all of us cook a lot, and some of us conveniently ignored dishes or fruit in fruit bowls that were there longer than they should be..... cue Fruit Fly Invasion. To my horror, I went to the sink one morning and they were EVERYWHERE. It felt like hundreds of tiny, Itty bitty monsters, flying through the air and landing on EVERYTHING. NOTHING WAS SAFE. I was in pure annihilation mode. Not my home, not again... Immediately I went straight to making the traps - Whiskey + Balsamic Vinegar in a jar with cling wrap on top, poke a few holes in the plastic and..... 2 days later that jar was FULL of trapped fruit flies. (Trust me, they like booze more than honey or soap, lol) But when there were still more and more each day, I knew... these were drain flies, hiding and laying eggs in my garbage disposal or somewhere in my pipes. The traps would trap a portion of them, but they wouldn't solve the deeper problem. I searched online far and wide for something that would coat the pipes and remove all organic waste so that they couldn't lay more eggs- because that's truly how to target them. I knew from experience that Green Gobbler does NOT do the job. So I ordered this. I got this product 4 days ago. First I prepped the drains with about 2 gallons of boiling water on each side. I used 4 Oz of this amazing Orange goo per day on both sides of the sink drain for 4 days straight. We made multiple traps, got one of those plug in UV light sticky traps(ehich was also very effective), and deep cleaned the house, vowing to wash every dish immediately and take out the trash multiple times a day. And now...... My house is nearly fruit fly free. In 4 freaking days. The traps caught fewer and fewer fruit flies each day. This morning, I only saw two left flying around. Miraculous. We even mixed this product in water and used it to clean all of our trash bins too, just in case. All of our bins smell amazing now. The infestation was defeated in less than a week. Am I satisfied? A resounding yes. You having the same problem? Buy this product. Seriously.

I suffered for 3 years until I found this
My home was infested with dark eyed fruit flies for several years. It was awful. They would crowd around the sink and around our food. I thought maybe they were phorid flies but they were fruit flies. These flies did not respond to normal fruit fly traps. I cleaned and took out the trash and killed them but I could it get rid of them. Finally I discovered this product and can’t say enough good things. They were laying eggs in my drain I guess!! at night the flies rest on our ceiling. Usually there were around 40 or 50 and after a couple of days of using this stuff I noticed less and less. It was so exciting when there were only a few left. This product smells so nice and subtle. I hate the smell of cleaning products and don’t use many chemicals at all so I was surprised at how natural this product was and how well it worked.

Worth Every Penny!!
Let me preface this review by saying I don't write reviews. So this is definitely something I feel is a very big deal! I was being harassed by gnats and what I think were drain flies. I couldn't find another way that these pests were getting into my home. I read a lot of reviews on this product and others before I bought this one. This size doesn't come with a cup so I purchased a 8oz plastic squirt bottle too. My intended use was for the kitchen sink and I thought that would make it easier to use. The black rubber flapper in my sink comes out. I put on a rubber glove in case there was any back splash. I removed the flapper and I squirted it with the Rockwell Bio Drain Gel. Then I went on to squirt all around the sides of the drain. The Gel does have a bit of a smell but it's not awful and you only smell it for a few seconds. Using the squirt bottle did make it so much easier to get the job done. When I was finished I put the stopper on just as a added measure. The next morning when I checked the drain I could still see sludge. I read somewhere u can pour boiling water down the drain or you may need to use a brush. I didn't want to do either of those things. The directions say to use every other night but I'm impatient so i didn't wait. I used it again just as I had the previous night. The next morning I unstopped my drain. All I could say was WOW!! My drain looked almost new. I sprayed the flapper off with water that I had removed from the drain and it looked good as new as well. I'm really impressed with Rockwell Bio Drain Gel. I haven't been bothered by a single pest. Hallelujah!! I will use it every other night this week and once a week to keep my drain clean as the bottle says. This bottle will last a while. I would definitely purchase this product again. I've already recommended to family members and I certainly recommend to Amazon shoppers!
