This engages our child pretty well. She won't really bother with it by herself but if one of us is doing it with her she enjoys it a lot. Some of the problems are kind of repetitive which is fine, but something worth noting.

My 3 year old loves this game! It’s a simple but quite a genius idea. The interactive quality is spot on for this age group. The logic questions are age appropriate, with two sides to choose from - an easier and harder side. They cover things like finding what is the same, different, colour matching, pattern matching, tracking (following a line maze), and directions. My daughter needed very little guidance to initially understand what was required of her and will frequently pick this toy during independent play. She loves inserting the key and pulling out the card. Every aspect of it, from answering the questions to pulling out the card, appears to add to the dopamine hit! The cards themselves feel well made and durable and the size suitable for this age - approximately the size of the average adults hand, the wooden block is what you would expect, the string attaching the key is questionable. It’s not necessarily weak, but even after gentle use it’s got that twisted over-pulled appearance to it. I will caution though that the wooden block is a little too wide for the cards, so the cards don’t stay exactly in place which is needed to be able to insert the key all the way through. If the cards jiggle, the key doesn’t insert and you can just pull the cards out regardless of whether or not you’ve chosen the correct answer. This age group typically don’t have the dexterity yet to keep the cards aligned, so it was very frustrating for my little one, which initially caused her to give up quickly and move on. I wedged a bit of cardboard down one side to stop the cards from jiggling and since then we’ve had no problems. Also, it’s great that each card has an easier and harder side, but it would be very helpful if they were colour coded to make it easier to organise without having to look at both sides of every single card to make that determination. There’s an orange strip at the top of each card; if there were different colours for the easier and harder side, would make it so much easier as a parent!

This is a very nicely designed and made that can be used at home or anywhere as it's very easy to pack and carry with you. I'm very pleased with the Top Bright Flash Cards for toddlers and consider it an excellent value!

This is a good game for 2-2.5yo age range, not 3+ as advertised. Other than a couple of types of puzzles, the rest are too easy for 3 and above. The set basically had cards, with a puzzle on each side. You place the card in the holder and depending on what you think is the answer, you put the key in the slot below your chosen answer. Now, if the answer is correct, you will be able to pick the card up with the key in the slot. If the answer is incorrect, the key holds the card down and you can't pick it up. Most of the puzzles are pretty basic. I've shared the pictures of a few. The worst part of the design is, the "answer" is located in the same spot for the same type of puzzles! So a child who may be trying to simply pick the cards without engaging in the puzzle, will be able to do so withiut solving it. Beats the point of it being a puzzle. Anyway, this product looks great and has a good finish and is okay for kids around 2.5 age group as oldest.

Great concept…. Always prefer Montessori type toys/games to keep a child engaged. However, when using with a child as young as 2 ish, she grasped the concept quickly but struggled with a bit of the dexterity required to maintain the card deck properly in the wood block.. when it didn’t work as she wanted, I was concerned she would pull the cards possibly ripping the tabs that the key “locks”. I would say a good age range is leaning towards three and likely topping out at 5/6.. max. Makes a nice gift for a very reasonable price.

If you've seen the HABA logic puzzle toy and are either looking for a less expensive dupe or cant even find a version stateside this is a great choice. The basic concept is that each card has a puzzle question and multiple choice options for answers. When you insert the key and attempt to remove the card it will either work (the correct answer has a u-shaped hole) or it wont (closed hole). The questions themselves don't really require reading and are fairly intuitive for question type so the entire system is self correcting - perfect for quiet time and independent play. The cards offer a good variety of question types and variations in difficulty. The downsides: - Younger kids will have a tendency towards yanking the cards and thus tearing the hole with wrong answers. - It doesn't appear that there are expansion packs. For kids with eidetic memories this will have a short lifespan before theyve burned through all the cards

This game for little kids is adorable!! There is a wooden, block base with a wooden key and the base has slots in it for the key. The cards fit in the base with slots for the key, but only the correct slot will allow the card to be lifted out with the key. The cards have logic, colors, shapes, mazes, etc. Only the correct answer will release the card. This game is great for young children to expand their knowledge and logic skills. The cards are very well thought out and have different skill levels. I like the variety in the cards so this does not get boring. The quality is top notch and this is a wonderful gift for preschool aged children! I highly recommend!!

The cards provide problem solving skills for your child. If you get the answer correct, you can move to the next card. If the answer is wrong, you cannot remove the card. Cons: - The flashcards are cheap quality and can rip easily. - The wooden block is too thick, so there is a lot of movement when all the cards are in. This creates a problem because the gap does not allow the key to enter easily. Conclusion: - The theoretical purpose of the flashcard key system is great, but the design is flawed.
