I looked at numerous different products and reviews - finally opted for this because I am not technologically minded and needed a simple device but with the required security benefit. For me this product has turn out to be perfect. It was simple to connect to my phone, and to fit to the porch, has good range and visibility. My only slight complaint is that if you want more than one person to connect you have to take out a subscription which I hadn't appreciated at the time of purchase and have found frustrating because most household will want more than one user to connect in light of the nature of the product. But still a good device and value for money.

Excellent I must admit that I had my doubts that it would be easy to install! Only two things that were not easy for me? One was the instructoins the writing was so small I could not read them and Two the activation button was so hard to get at that I ended up using the handle of the screwdriver provided.

I got this just the other day. I wanted to upgrade my old doorbell for a smart on since it needed it and I've gone a long way into smart automation in my home such as lights, CCTV and plugs etc. So I thought I'd take the plunge into a doorbell that can allow me to see if I even want to open the door to someone. Big mistake. Everything started out fine and the camera linked to the toucan app fine... for the first hour or two... then constant offline disconnects. Testing it in the house, in the room with the router sat it it in full view of the doorbell, the lag is unacceptable. I was sat waving my hand around to trigger the motion sensor like I was possessed by Pazuzu, and it took the device a full minute to notify me on the phone app. I tried pushing the button and the doorbell rang, the indoor widget/speaker rang with a 2 second delay and then about a minute and a half later my phone notified my of the ring. If this was a real world scenario the delivery dude would be half way round the rest of the estate before I got the notification. The doorbell also has the option for answering the doorbell in a facetime style "call"; the initial notification took a minute to arrive and then the video didn't load for an additional minute and a half. I tested this multiple times and factory reset both the device and the phone app and the lag is just god-awful, it's not fit for purpose. Then the disconnects started happening. If I wanted to use this to log into and keep an eye on my driveway while I was out I wouldn't be able to do so. The doorbell is constantly offline unless the button or motion sensor are tripped (with the expected glacial age between action and reaction). At one point the device just stopped responding and remained offline completely... requiring another factory reset to fix. I didn't even bother with trying out the Alexa integration as by this point and 3 hours later I'd had enough. It's going back and I'll wait for the blink version that matches my outdoor CCTV to come out; at least I have a working system already and can reasonably expect the same level of quality. This is not worth the £83 I paid for it. Not by any stretch of the imagination. I wouldn't even pay £20 for this garbage... and normal price they expect you to shell out £120!!!!! Clearly someone is having a right laugh at people with selling this trash. Don't waste your time or money. For 80 Great British Poverty Dollars I expect much, much higher quality, performance and responsiveness. EDIT: I noticed also the toucan app broke all my custom notification sounds on my phone and I was nearly late for work as my morning alarm didn't go off. One more reason to stay away.

Good quality, good picture with a decent view to the left and right which covers the front 2 corners of the fence line including the drive and gate. Only one critism is that it needs to be recharged, it will last a good week though. The drama is yer have to take it out of the holder to charge it rather than leave it in situ as the access port is behind the unit. Its a pain unscrewing the little retaining screw at the bottom every time yer want to charge the thing!

These cameras have been problematic from the very start. I bought 2 back in February-whilst installation was straightforward enough once in use it quickly became and clear that these doorbell cameras are not as effective as they are made out to be. Frequently when the doorbell has been rung the camera feed to either of our mobiles invariably fails to connect before the visitor has given up or the delivery driver is halfway to his next stop! Frankly they are not fit for purpose. Also if I am actually in the house the supplied door chime alert often doesn’t bother to sound- all in all not a good experience- not worth the price tag I’m afraid. Look elsewhere as these products will only frustrate!

This camera doorbell works great. It lets you see who is at the door before having to open the door.. it will notify you if you are not at home and you can talk to the person on your porch. It also serves as a security camera by taking pictures of the people who come to your door. It is easy to set up easy to use and will send pictures by you telephone as long as you have cell service.. I have used this doorbell for about a year and I would recommend it to others..

Worked at first then stopped announcing through Alexa speakers throughout our home

I like the ease of this camera that I can put it in a separately sold case that then goes on my back door. The only thing I find problematic is the range of where it picks up motion. Even though I have it set to low and blocked out areas of the street, it still picks up the cars driving by. Other than that I like it. Connected easily to my wifi and I can access the camera quickly through the app when motion is picked up or if someone rings the bell. I can talk to them as well. And the charge on it can last up to at least a month if you have low activity. I charged it two weeks ago and it’s currently at 75%

I use this product to know who’s at my front door and most important, the Amazon delivery person rings the bell and I’m notified right away of my delivery. It helps not to give a porch pirate steal my package!
