A steal at 5 times the price, high qualilty great design.
Much higher quality than anything I've seen under $100. All the attributes of a much higher end device, and works flawlessly. It is actually assembled with screws not rivets, put together not snapped together. Funny, it's made in Hong Kong but by a British expediter for an Italian design. It's a steal of a price. In hiking everyone wants low carry weight, but I want one that can drop 50 feet, get stepped on and still be intact, and this metal framed compass is it. No mainline compass company offers this, even at 5 - 10 times the price. I'll actually be able to pass this down to grandkids.

Very chunky and heavy. Well made
The compass is smooth. The sighting mechanism and eyepiece adjustment work well. This is a heavy item. The wrist strap is not much use as it's fitted to the clamp to keep the compass closed, so the clamp comes undone. It does not work well to place on a map like the wholly clear map compasses, but it can work. The inclinometer is not particularly accurate and the pointer sticks. But it's OK as a general guide. In all a hefty compass, which may stand some knocks. But for mapping, you are better off with one of the map compasses, which are also robust and way lighter to hang around your neck. But it's fun to have.

Survival Compass
Compass for Survival, I purchased this compass to replace my older unit. I'm very pleased with the quality and design of the Anbte Hiking compass.

Very usable compass.
This is a very serious compass. It works extremely well. The directions are in very small print so you may have to take a picture of each page and then expand it.

Great CompassK
This is an excellent Compass! I got it for Scouts and for Orienteering. Very solid build. Accurate to a fault! It is HEAVY though. The materials are not cheaply made either and the cost was just right. I would buy one of these again to gift to a scout or to anyone who enjoys hiking!

Tough and accurate compass.
This compass is made very well and accurate. Has everything you would need for successful navigation. For the price and what you get you can’t go wrong.

Item is heavier than necessary.
This was a lot heavier than I anticipated. I was looking for something lightweight to take on hikes and this is not it.

Arrives 29 July. Excellent price, I chose Bronze = skin coloured, the lightest of 3 colours available. Metallic, presume non-magnetic, definitely grand protection. Multifunctional, & I wanted a decent clinometer: one can estimate slope angles, but not rock dip, tilt & strike. This product provides such at each location. My use is for geology, in Lake District (where igneous rocks are grey & sky often leaden) & should stay put on rock surfaces, even in the wind. Very sturdy & solid construction, ~260 to 270g. Includes a black polyester neck sling (3mm piping cord, I use these on zip closures, haberdashers stock such). Also supplied in a black polyester carry sleeve with belt loop, for less tiring wearing yet still easily reachable. Packaged inside bubble plastic, then inside the carry sleeve & then inside a cardboard box: perfectly safe! Everything works. Clear plastic compass dial cover & has a fold down top lid, also with clear plastic dial cover; all seemingly waterproof anyway. It could be used handheld (I also bought a lightweight compass for handheld use). One can remove the clinometer, as top cover won't fold down with clinometer open; just 2 very small crosshead screws but NOT advised 'out on hikes'. M2 screws. With clinometer in closed position, you can't see the compass dial, so product not designed for 'watching while walking along' (which is dangerous anyway). Case's edges have a centimeter scale, WOULD BE IDEAL for photographing product atop a rock exposure (I currently include a coin or pen). Unfortunately, that scale is on the blind side of clinometer, which only fits on as supplied. Also, a sighting scale (presumably used with the adjustable sighting viewer). Compass edge has a luminous outer circle BUT that need radiating IN ADVANCE under uv light. Hence, substitute a torch; far easier & a vital extra on mountain hikes. The supplied manual is sparse. putting it mildly. anbte derives from Adventure Best Tool.
