Awesome model! Great every day watch or nice addition to a collection...
First of all, I bought this watch because I trust the G-Shock brand. When I buy a G-Shock I know what I'm going to get; a quality sports watch that will endure the abuse of every day life for years to come. I've come to really like these watches for their durability and stylish design. The G-shocks I'm accustomed to have an analog time display with a rather small secondary digital display. But for this purchase I wanted a digital display only. That's when I came across this model. The sleek design of the face paired with G-shock's signature rugged, blocky build stood out to me immediately. The watch's smooth, flat black color with grey lettering and metallic accents were simple yet very appealing. So, I placed my order. It arrived 2 days later, well packaged, in perfect condition.First thing I noticed upon opening is that this model is slightly smaller than my other G-Shocks. Not by much though. In fact, if I wasn't holding it side-by-side with my other G-Shock, I probably wouldn't notice. The band is slightly slimmer as well, which I wasn't crazy about at first. I have to say though, I like this model's band and buckle more than the other G-shocks I own. The buckle has one wide prong instead of the two thinner prongs I'm used to seeing. It seems sturdier and is easier to fasten. The band glides smoothly through the buckle to quickly and easily fasten to your wrist, and it's 18 notches ensure a perfect fit. (For reference, I included pictures. I have a pretty slim wrist and I wear it on the 5th smallest notch which gives my desired snug fit.)The time display is large enough in my opinion, however it can be faint in dark lighting. No problem though, the light button illuminates the watch face with a blue backlight. This watch also has a step tracker on it and is bluetooth capable so you can link up to an app on your smart phone. I haven't used this feature yet though, and I doubt I ever will. However, you can veiw you daily steps without linking it to your phone. Just press the large round button on the bottom of the watch face. This button allows you to toggle between your daily steps and the current date. The step tracker automatically resets at midnight.Other than what I mentioned above, it operates and functions just as my other G-shock watches. This is nice because there was no learning curve when it came to adjusting the time. It has the usual 4 function buttons on the sides: Mode, Light, Start, and Adjust.I'm giving it 5 stars because I really can't say anything negative about this watch. I'm very happy with it and am currently trying to refrain from buying this model in other colors. I gotta stay strong lol.I will update if anything changes.

Great everyday watch
A really great value for the reliability and durability of this watch and the trust in the G-Shock brand. I got this watch to be my everyday/work watch so that I wouldn’t have to worry about it getting a little banged up, and read the time and date easily, and it’s fulfilled all my expectations. It can be a little hard to read sometimes in certain lighting, and the back light doesn’t stay on as long as I’d like, but I love that the Bluetooth feature allows for the watch to sync the time off of my phone when I travel, so I don’t have to manually reset the watch to whatever the local time is.Overall, a really great, really well made digital watch for every day kind of use.

Good G Shock, but not a FitBit substitute
I bought this with the intention of replacing my Fitbit Charge 2 which is very functional, but really ugly as a "watch". There is some good and bad with this G Shock. I have a couple other's G's and in my opinion, the negative display is harder to read. After digging into the manual, I found the automatic light feature but the watch needs to rotate 40 degrees for that to work, so a quick glance at your wrist doesn't always engage it. The step counter seems to function well, but it's not as seamless as the FitBit. To sync the watch to the app, you need to press the connect button on the watch, as opposed to the Fitbit where you just open the app and it automatically connects and syncs. Not a deal breaker, but just not as well integrated. If you want the full watch display with the day, date time you don't see yours steps, you have to toggle to another screen using the large silver button. The G is a much better looking device in my opinion, and has the benefit of being 200m water resistant where the FitBit has effectively no water resistance so that's a notable difference. The band is like all the other G's and considering the band on my FitBit routinely pops apart that another win for the G Shock. This model does not have an HR monitor like the Fitbit, so that's one more difference. If you're looking for a G Shock with a step counter, this is a good choice, but if you want to swap out your Fitbit entirely, this is not a true substitute.

Beautiful G-Shock
I would rate this watch 4.5 stars. So I added this G-Shock to my collection. It's a beautiful G-Shock. It wears very comfortable on the wrist. It's easy to read with the silver/gray display. The bluetooth is easy to connect to once you read the instructions. The only slight issue I have is with the pedometer, which isn't 100% accurate. But it's not bad enough for me to discourage anyone from getting the watch. For example, I checked my steps right before I got into my car for work and when I got there, the watch showed that I had walked an additional 40 steps. I knew this when I got the watch based off a reviewer on youtube. So if you're planning in using this a pedometer, just make sure you walk some additional steps past your daily goal. This reminds me, the pedometer resets itself back to zero at midnight. But you can save all your info on the app.

It's a G-Shock..
I have nothing to say that the title hasn't. Casio = GOD TIER. The Toyota of watches.Comfortable. Durable. Bluetooth time sync. Can't go wrong. Also, the watch doesn't wear as large as you'd think. It's proportionate and not offensively huge.I'd buy another G again, but this will probably last long enough to see the sun burn out.

Great watch
No need to charge like a Fitbit. App is very basic, step tracking is pretty accurate. The display can be a little hard to read in dim light, but the blue back light does the job.No too big like a lot of GsWant to track steps without an activity tracker, get this.Oh, I'm not a runner, I like swimming laps, well it registers my strokes and the app will show calories burned.Works for me ;)
