Poolhall Junkies [DVD] [2003] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

This movie has to be one of the most underrated movies ever.Apart from Christopher Walken it's a fairly low-key cast (especially for it's time) - but the performance is amazing. It will have you hanging on till the end with some of the best hustles and lines I've seen in any movie.Never seen a better movie about hustling.

Michael Rosenbaum can do not wrong awesome in this and Smallville

This movie will suit anyone who likes Pool or 9 ball.The main character is a lifetime Pool hustler who is a real talent at the game. He tries working a real job but just can't leave the game behind.A somewhat dated look at pool room hustling, look out for a cameo by Rodney Morris. The storyline gathers pace nicely culminating in the "big showdown" between the main character and the skilled Pool shark. Perhaps the plot is predictable, hence the 4 star rating, but a pool enthusiast will enjoy it.A nice supplement to the Color of Money, and much better than Stickmen.

This is one of my top 10 movies. Had to wait a few weeks to receive but was worth it

One of the best smartly acted films you'll see ,a must for your library ,the humour ,acting ,drama ,like one of those rare films the right people ,a master stroke of genius that brings them all together ,man enjoy ..

i remember when i first watched this film...... it made me want to go down to my bar and shoot pool. the people who gave bad reviews for this film must be kids who just failed out their first "intro to film class" and are bitter that quentin tarantino, david lynch, or john waters wasn't mentioned, or people that take pool way to seriously and spend every waking moment at their pool hall. remember kids its just a game. regardless of all the technical aspects of the film, if you enjoy just chasing around that little black ball around for a night, check this movie out. you're not gonna see any crazy explosions or ultra violence, but its just entertaining. sometimes people get way too involved with stealing a movies credibility and ripping it to shreds only because the director should haved panned left when he panned right. its a fun movie, and if you get past trying to be "Johnny Film Expert", or "Johnny Pool Shot" you wont have regreted watching it.
