What a difference!I am starting to use my phone more and more as a method of video communication and the issue was always getting it to sit correctly. This eliminates that issue. It is compact yet very strong, and travel is no problem. It really locks the phone in place, both in terms of gripping and holding onto the phone and then in terms of preventing it swiveling or rotating.I did read a review where someone mentioned the phone not being able to be placed in some positions. Perhaps it was due to the tripod, I looked and played with this and can’t imagine any position in which it could not be placed.Easily a 5-star product. Unlike most of the other cheap phone holders out there, once you buy this you’ll never have to buy another so it’s a great investment.

The product seems well built, but it is somewhat difficult to use. There is a very heavy spring that pulls the top of the mount down in order to secure the phone, and the dial on the back is supposed to hold against the spring, but it is really awkward to do in practice. Also, unfortunately, there is a rubber strip along the back of this mechanism that is supposed to be held in place by an adhesive, but mine has already broken free and is sliding up and out of the back of the unit. With the adhesive that remains inside, I have not been able to get the rubber strip back down in place.Not overly impressed with this product. Seller, if you are listening, I'd appreciate a replacement.

Very nice construction. But, the fingers that clamp on the sides of a phone are a bit short and could not hold my phone securely while in it's case. My phone has a curved back and its case makes it slightly thicker. The curved back pushes the front edges of my phone away from this mount and as a result it could easily fall out. I solved the problem by carefully cutting and removing the foam padding from the center of the mount, while keeping the padding on the clamps for good grip. It solved the problem and may help other customers. If the manufacturer could extend the clamp length by about 1/4 - inch, the product would work much better for thicker devices.

This phone metal phone mount is durable however the edges are no very long so the clip doesn’t have much depth. Meaning if you have a large phone case you will have trouble getting it to hold your phone. I have an iPhone X with an outterbox defender case and it slips out constantly. It will hold the phone with no case , but I personally don’t like taking my phone out of the case.Another issue is the mount has rubber strips lightly glued on the inside to help secure the phone in place however the rubber strips on the edges have slowly fallen off which means it’s was not put together well.

I first learnt about this product when I went through one of the early reviews on the new DJI Osmo Pocket. From that, I tried to visualize how to use this product for my normal iPhone videography practices. I found that this is the missing link where many smartphone videographers have tried various means to mount ancillary devices like video lights, microphones, etc... just to name two of the most common add-ons. With the additional mounting holes Woohot have incorporated on this holder, it becomes such a simple way to mount a light, microphone, etc... If one uses a common dual or triple cold shoe adapter plate, one can even extend and space out these ancillary devices, without having to have a whole bunch of swivels, bent arms, ball heads, etc... It can be secured at the holes or just simply with the cold shoe on top of the smartphone clamp.It is such a simple and affordable well-thought out device that someone should have thought of designing until now. In fact, with the swiveling arm, one can even firmly hold devices like the DJI Osmo Pocket, DxO One, Rode Videomic Me-L, FLIR One and Seek thermal IR scanners, and so one and so forth that connects to the iPhone through the lightning port. This helps to ease the load of these devices overhanging at the lightning port which can end up damaging it and too costly to repair.Obviously, this is not just only for iPhone use. It can be used with the latest Android smartphones with USB-C port, or the older ones with OTG port.I have read some past reviews mentioning the dampener on both ends of the clamp and the tightening lever at the back. As far as the unit I received is concerned, there are no such problems. I believe Woohot must have taken earlier feedback very seriously and rectified them already.I find this smartphone clamp the best I come across for smartphone videographers, bloggers, and even industrial users.

Beide sind mit diesem Produkt in keiner Weise vergleichbar und gingen postwendend wieder zurück.Nach langem Suchen bin ich nun auf diese Smartphone Halterung gestoßen, die mich schon beim Ansehen begeisterte. Diese Begeisterung hat sich nach eintägiger Lieferung fortgesetzt.Die Halterung ist eine Vollmetallkonstruktion mit Moosgummi zum Schutz des Smartphones an der Klemmhalterung.In der Artikelbeschreibung wird ein Feature gar nicht erwähnt, das aber sehr wichtig ist, da ungemein praktisch: die Halterung ist Arca Swiss kompatibel, so dass sie auf den meisten Stativköpfen ohne lästige Schrauberei angebracht und abgenommen werden kann. This seems to be a very well engineered accessory. It is solidly made and well constructedNo instructions came with it which became a short term issue because the locking/adjusting mechanisms were initially very tight and there was nothing to check. Once loosened off, it is fine.The only other slight downside is that if your phone protector is on the thicker side, you'll have to take it the protector off - your phone won't fit properly on the mount.As other reviewers have mentioned, there is no pan and tilt. For me this was an advantage as I have a ball and socket tilt on my mini-tripod which actually gives me more range of movement and, of course, this unit can be much smaller.

Quite simply the best quality and most robust tripod adapter i've ever owned for any phone.It holds the phone securely, and can be rotated 360 degrees, and both phone clamp and rotated angle can be locked in position.

It’s a great little phone holder with plenty of capacity for additional items to be fitted (microphones, lights etc). With all phone holders - trying to find one that fits an iPhone 12 Pro Max is always difficult - but this one does manage. I like the ability to expand for the iPhone and then lock that in place, only longevity concern is the tiny lever to unlock and rotate the holder. I found this digging into my thumb and over time can see this snapping - bit I’ll get to that when I see it.

After seeing reviews of this product on YouTube and reading other commentators in the ratings section on amazon.ca, here's my own breakdown of the Woohot 360 Degree Rotation, tripod mount, cell phone holder that I purchased.Pros:-Solid build quality. Beats plastic versions of cell phone holders I've had in the past-Spring has great tension and contains good holding force to secure mobile phone-The lock for the spring loaded phone holder arm works perfectly and secures the phone well. Knurled dial allows for great tightening and rotational force to lock the spring loaded phone holder. Well designed-The rotation mechanism is precise and smooth and the lock/unlock lever allows for a solid lock (unable to move) on the 360 degree rotation of the phone (portrait, landscape view or anything in between)-The quality, look and finish of the product, along with mechanical functionality and feel is great! Well machined aluminum! Beautifully powder coated!Cons: (Lost 1 star for these below)-The pivot point of the device should be shifted to the exact opposite side, because that will create an offset to allow a USB charger to be plugged into the bottom of the phone in portrait mode (vertical) and allow for the mobile phone to be clasped higher on the phone's body and allow for the phone to rotate past its bottom 2 corners-The cell phone clamp arms on the left and right need to be extended outward (lengthened) by 3-4 millimeters to accommodate a wider variety of mobile phones, especially phones that have slim cases on them-The long rubber pad on the back surface that the back of the phone rests adds 2 millimeters to the depth, which will have to be removed by most purchasers of the phone holder to accommodate their mobile phones securely, thus adding back the much needed 2 millimeters to accommodate their mobile phoneI would recommend this device to a friend!It works great! It's well made of top quality parts!Machined perfectly!Powder coated!Black is a perfect color to go with photography equipment and keep stealthy and sleek for black decor & device color consistencyWill last a lifetime, based on its rugged and quality design!***Please consider the changes I recommended in the "cons" section.
