Very well made, fits great, allows full macro use with a UV filter installed unlike the OEM lens hood which won't allow macro mode without removing the hood. Works well with OEM as well as Haoge lens cap.

Fine lens cap. Always nice to have a backup, although I use this one instead of the one that came with the camera. Nice since it’s plain, so I don’t have to advertise my Leica camera!

Cap was cheaply made. You only get a few uses before the glue on the inside wears off and the inside velvet starts to unravel. I still use it because the Leica cap is expensive but not without a small handkerchief.

A little longer than the stock hood but it allows you to use a filter which is why I bought it. Quality also seems great.

Looed around to find the right lens shade for my Leica Q (TYpe 116). Some information was rather sketchy about which would work best, but, a recommendation for this shade was right on. Fits perfectly and works as it shoulf at f1.7.

Leica makes wonderful cameras (presently I own both the Q3 and Q3 43) but Leica have a history of problematic lens hood designs, as I learned the hard way with my Leica CL and several lenses. In the current example, the Q3 43 lens hood that ships with the camera is useless if one intends to use any kind of lens filter together with the built-in Q macro function. I lost the original lens cap within months of getting my new Leica Q. Cap was too lose and easily dropped off. The Hoage cap seems to be tighter and seems to hold on and stays on the camera so far.
