Engage 75 Wireless Headset, Stereo – Telephone Headset with Industry-Leading Wireless Performance, Advanced Noise-Cancelling Microphone, All Day Battery Life

Needed a good quality headset for remotely working in an IT support call center. Under the gun in March I had purchased a Logitech gaming headset just because USB wireless was the number 1 criteria. That lasted 3 months before it broke. This Jabra Engage 75 is a quality professional headset that will connect to your standard IP desk phone and concurrently connect to your computer via USB. Tested and works well with MS Teams and Cisco IP Communicator version 8.6.6.0. Newer softphones should be no problem. The noise cancelling almost completely erases my teething puppy's whining, the mute function via a switch at the end of the boom mic works flawlessly and has an audible indicator that you can turn on and off in the nicely laid out settings app. Sound is excellent all-around. Range is good, I can walk all the way around the outside of my house and I only drop out when on the far side of the house with my refrigerator and air conditioner compressor directly between me and the base. Battery life is meh-ok. I use your from 7am to noon, it's halfway drained, I let it charge over lunch then right back to it and good for the rest of the day. Comfort: well it's a headset, so you have something on your ears, which is weird if you're not used to it - but I have no discomfort with this headset and it's tons lighter and smaller than a wireless gaming headset. Assuming the unit gives me a few years of service, well worth the price. I still wish it only cost a hundred bucks instead of nearly 300, but...

Primarily using for computer based web conferencing: Teams, Webex, Gotomeeting, Zoom, etc. It has been working wonderfully for that. Pros: -Sound quality is perfect, no complaints on the other end. Also does a great job of filtering out background noise. -Battery easily goes all day. -Range is very impressive. I can walk outside of my house and into my backyard and no-one has ever noticed. -Headset is light and comfortable. -Mute button works and gives an audio feedback so you know if you are muting or unmuting. Cons: -Red Light seems to be on most of the time, not just when I'm in calls. -Microphone will come on randomly sometimes. All the sudden I notice it's audio is being piped into my ears. I don't think it's the Russians recording me but it's tough to tell why it's on. My only wish is that my computer could backup to the bluetooth connection when I want to move my laptop somewhere else. It's wired in through the USB port which is the preferred connection, however I'd like it to switch to the bluetooth connection when I unplug. I was able to pair and adjust windows sound priority to have the usb be priority #1 and the bluetooth be #2 but in practice it didn't work and was switching between the two weirdly and inconsistently. Also my voip call would normally drop for too long. It prevents me in the middle of a call to just grab my laptop and go. This may just be a windows problem or an unsolvable problem but figured I'd let everyone know in the comments in case you were hoping to do this. I realize a straight bluetooth headset would do this but to me it's not worth the quality and range drop offs.

It's DECT, which gives it a really huge range without audio quality loss. The headphones are extremely comfortable and adjustable so it relative comfortable for a range of head sizes. The on-ear keeps my ears from getting really sweaty on the full day conference calls. It has on headset volume buttons, and a button on the microphone boom for muting and unmuting. The button on the boom is not a great placement, it's easy to bump the mic itself, which causes noticeable noise on calls. There's also a Busy Mode that sets a red light on the headset when you press both volume buttons, but it would be a lot more useful for non-call center users of the light indicated mute status instead. While it works great with Linux or Windows (no idea for Mac), the advanced call integration with Teams, Skype, or Zoom requires the Jabra software to be installed, which is only available for Windows. Some of the settings are only available with the Windows software, but once configured the settings are retained in the device base station itself. I personally use it with various Linux distro and it works great as an arbitrary mic and speaker. The mic has great background noise suppression and it doesn't matter what OS you use it with.

The headphones seemed to work well. After watching countless reviews I opted on this pair. I work remotely and wanted something with adequate noise cancellation (I work in our basement and can still hear screaming toddler and dog)- unfortunately the headset can cancel noise such as another person talking or a television but not what I was looking for. However, I kept the headphones because they are wireless and comfortable. 6 months of use and they stopped connecting to my workstation and would consistently indicate "out of range" despite being plugged in station and me sitting 1 foot away.. it was very stressful - as important calls would get a delayed connection or not connect at all! Embarrassing when your director keeps yelling "I can't hear you!" . Anyway - it is too late to try and return so I thought I'd just warn other users - this might not be a good option especially at the very high cost point. Good luck on your search!

After the mono headset version I purchased in December 2021 fell apart last month, I decided to buy this stereo model instead. It was approx $20 cheaper, the sound quality seems to be improved and it works just fine. The battery lasts more than 8 hrs a day and the signal is strong at minimum 40 feet away. I'm unsure about the noise cancelling feature because, with the mono headset, I could hear my low volume radio in the background during playback of one of my recorded calls 😯. However most of my callers tell me my background is very quiet.

At work I use a Mitel softphone system and Teams for my primary communication modes. We have had a heck of a time finding a headset that would allow headset controlled answering of calls on the softphone. Finally found Jabra and narrowed down to this model. The only thing i can't control with the headset is transferring calls, otherwise it's seamless. Pros: *The range for me is great, i can even walk into the hallway (about 50ft) with a closed door between me and the base and not loose connectivity. It starts to get a little staticky when i walk to the farthest side of the suite, to me that is great range. *Mute button is on the mic boom and very accessible, you don't have to search for it, also mutes if you point the mic boom up to the ceiling. *Sound quality is great *In ear prompts available so you know if your mic boom is out of position and mute notification and reminders *Has great customization options to make the headset fit your personal preferences *You can customize by uploading your own ringtone, the display on the base can be customized to show the time, custom text or a picture. Mine currently says, "I told you so" lol. *Personally the noise cancellation level is perfect for me. It is enough that if I'm wearing it (but not on a call), it dims all sound around me but allows enough through that I'm not totally muted and am aware if someone is trying to talk to me or an issue arises at the front window that I need to help mitigate. If you want total noise cancellation when not on a call, you may want to check out one of the other versions, like the Evolve 75. *I can confidently relay that external office noises are completely muted for your caller. If someone comes into my office and starts talking to me while I'm on the phone, the person at the other end of the line cannot hear them at all. I've had someone TRY to talk to my caller while being very close, caller still could not hear. This is a HUGE pro in my opinion since I get frequent interruptions without them checking to see if I'm on the phone. My polycom headset would mute out office noise to the point where i was constantly getting scared just by staff stopping to ask a question, that's too much for the work i do. It also worked with Mitel but I had to mouse to pick up calls and hang up, clunky. I also had a terrible time with the settings, it would stop working without warning and i was constantly troubleshooting it. *The ease of setup is wonderful. I do not connect directly to my phone since we employ a softphone, but it does come with the cords to connect that way. I received the Jabra, plugged in the base, docked the headset and downloaded Jabra Direct. While i was exploring the settings in Jabra Direct, it auto paired the headset and the base and my PC detected the headset on its own and made it the primary device. I had to adjust ZERO settings on my computer or the mitel client. In fact the only things i needed to do was customize the settings and make sure to download the latest software update. Hands down it has been the most angst free headset setup I have come across, and since Covid, we have tried several. Con: *Battery life will not last you past an 8 hour day but an easy remedy is to dock it when not in use so it can charge through the day. *I don't find the touch screen settings option on the base to be very useful, it's clunky to navigate, so i just go to the Jabra Direct control center and change settings there. You can answer the call and end it and mute it from the base touchscreen if that is your preference, that part is user friendly. Feels like the base options could be improved but it's definitely not a deal breaker. Minor annoyance: *I never could get the training conference feature to work, where another headset could connect to my base and answer calls and both of us could hear the call. That was a bummer because it's such a useful feature if you are training someone to answer incoming customer calls. *when you are selecting your ringtone, there is no way to preview it before applying it. You actually have to apply it and then call yourself to hear it. Strange idiosyncrasy on a otherwise great headset/base. Important to be aware of: *Connection issues If i do not log out of Mitel when i leave for the day. When I come in the next morning, chances are good that either callers wont be able to hear me, or I wont hear them. There is something about the live connection and power napping i think that interferes. If i log out at end of shift and log back into Mitel at the beginning, there is no issue. *In the beginning my sound would get muted, finally figured out that my sound icon in the task bar had a "x" over it and if I just turned it back on, it worked fine. Now it does not happen so it may have been a bug that has since been fixed. Conclusion: It's not perfect, there are some weird connectivity bugs now and then that seem to differ with users but they are random and not persistent (and fixable by logging out of Mitel and back in) so i can live with them. Hands down there are way more pros than cons and it has been such a relief since we got it. I'll never go back to the handset phone.

I bought both the Jabra Evolve 75 and Engage 75 for my home office to compare. I use Microsoft Skype and Teams frequently for calls and desktop share and also have frequent phone calls to my work cell phone and also to my personal cell phone. For years I used the Sennheiser 506045 MB Pro2 UC Stereo and was frustrated with that unit, but locked in because I had spent nearly $200 on it. I should have given it up sooner. What I didn't like about the Sennheiser I wanted fixed in the Jabra unit - namely when I roamed outside of my home office to refill my coffee on a long call I didn't want people saying "Hey, are you there? We can't hear you". Also, whenever I've had a bluetooth headset where the USB dongle is in the computer or docking bay I have had limited range and poor connectivity when 2 devices were connected. This was really bad with the Sennheiser and anytime both the computer and 1 cell phone were paired call clarity and reliability took a huge dive and I would have to unpair my cell phone with the Sennheiser to get better quality on computer calls. So being angry and adverse to these issues I wanted none of that in a new Jabra headset. The Jabra ENGAGE 75 has so far highly satisfied my quest and about a week in of use and probably 20+ hours on the headset I'm happy. I have a computer and 2 phones paired to this unit and fidelity is very good. I can walk outside of my house all the way to the mail box (brick house, maybe 80' from my home office) and keep the calls. So I have utmost confidence with the headset so far. Downside is that the transmitter is in the charging stand so I can't really take this headset with me on travel. As an aside - I also really liked the fit-and-finish of the Jabra Evolve 75, but I would lose connection when not more than 20 to 30 feet from the USB dongle. Unacceptable for me for aforementioned reasons and I immediately sent it back. In all respect the Jabra Evolve 75 (not the unit I'm reviewing here) was really nice and came with a travel kit, but was a bit heavier and had larger ear pieces which would help with muting environmental sounds, but also I think would make it a bit uncomfortable if you wear with glasses and it pressing against your upper ear. If I was loaded with money I would seriously consider that unit as my second travel unit. However, I've decided the Jabra ENGAGE 75 is a superior headset for the home office because it is lighter and less noticeable and obviously has superior transmission distance. On the downside with the ENGAGE 75 I am disappointed with the battery life in that I can't go all day with calls without worrying about a charge in between. However, I'm willing to live with that for the superior connectivity and clarity. I do believe I'm done with headset buying for a long time and have so much more confidence on my calls with this headset! I noticed that the ENGAGE 75 is back up to full price here on Amazon, but I got it below $300. Not sure I'd spend full retail for this. My company will only buy me cheap corded headsets and so this is a personal purchase for my own enjoyment and peace of mind and so far well worth it.

Bought these to use at work for my desk phone and teams on my PC. Switching between PC and Desk phone is extremely easy. Sound quality seems to be good, haven't gotten any complaints from coworkers or customers.

I have had the Engage 75 for a little less than a year, use them daily (and frequently). Really appreciate that I can pick them up or touch a button to answer my desk phone (I did get a lifter) but they also work great for virtual meetings or just listening in general. Easy switch between devices and customizable to preferences. Appreciate the visual cues of the stand as well (timer, battery remaining, mute, connections, etc). Range is actually much better than I expected. I can walk clear to other side of my office floor and still be okay, and it only cuts down when I go down to next floor and opposite corner of building. I did get a cord so I could plug into USB if I am in a boardroom etc to minimize drops from the stand (it connects via BT via the stand). Very lightweight and comfortable. I have also tried the Evolve 75's which I returned as I felt they were a bit heavy/bulky, and I have a pair of Evolve 65's for my home office or for business travel which I find lighter and more comfortable than the Evolve 75's, but not anywhere near as comfortable as the Engage 75's.

Das mit dem DECT muss einem klar sein! Die hier unmissverständlich beschriebene Eigenschaft "DECT-fähig" bezieht sich darauf, das das 75 mit einem Schreibtischtelefon verbunden werden kann, welches per DECT verbunden ist. Das Jabra 75 selber hat KEINE DECT-Technik enthalten, und kann sich daher auch nicht z.B. mit einer Fritzbox oder einer anderen DECT-Basisstation verbinden. Also so in etwa, als wenn ich einen Trabant bewerbe mit 300 PS... weil man den Trabant ja an einen Porsche oder was weiß ich hinten anhängen kann, der eben 300 PS hat. Das ist für mich schon so etwas zwischen Unlauterem Wettbewerb und Betrug. Zusätzlich hatte mein Jabra 75 auch noch KEIN Deutsches Netzteil! Ich habe leider zur gleichen Zeit ein Cisco-HS gekauft, und durch einen Irrtum mein Jabra bei dem Cisco-Händler reklamiert. So kam es das meine Rückgabefrist verstrichen ist. Ich habe dann auch eigene Rechnung hier bei Amazon noch ein passendes Netzteil für 15 Euro hinzu gekauft. Das ist viel Ärger für so ein teures Gerät! Vom Betrieb her ist es aber ohne Fehl und Tadel! Sehr leicht, kaum Druck auf den Ohren, sehr gute Sprachqualität in beide Richtungen. parallel (!) mit 2 Bluetooth-Geräten koppelbar (Achtung! Das macht die Basisstation! Das Gerät kann also nicht einfach so mit in den Flieger genommen werden. Ich weiß gar nicht, ob das Headset alleine überhaupt mit Bluetooth oder irgend etwas anderem als der Basisstation verbunden werden kann). So kann das Jabra ohne Umschaltung sowohl mit einem Tischtelefon, einem Laptop und einem Handy gleichzeitig in Verbindung stehen. Ich glaube, das ist einmalig auf dem Headsetmarkt. Auch die Hintergrundunterdrückung funktioniert super. Ein Gesprächspartner hört z.B. nicht Deine Tastatur oder ein leises Radio im Hintergrund. Das wünsche ich mir bei manchen Callcenteragenten... Die Displayanzeige kann ein paar "Kunststücke", so z.B. Logos oder Texte anzeigen (ich finde die Uhrzeit ganz praktisch). Ich habe inzwischen meinen Frieden mit dem 75 gemacht und benutze es sehr gerne. Ich bin aber nach der Erfahrung unsicher, ob ich es noch weiterempfehlen sollte. Wohlgemerkt: Die reine Funktion als Headset ist Klasse! Das fehlende EU-Netzteil und die fehlende, aber beworbene DECT Unterstützung sind sehr ärgerlich. Nachtrag: Nach ca. 1 Monat fast täglicher Benutzung muss ich noch einen wirklich nervigen Kritikpunkt hinzufügen: Das Jabra-Headset ist offensichtlich oder scheinbar aus sehr billigem Plastik gefertigt. Inzwischen knackt dieses Plastik (die Halterungen, die Gelenke...) bei der kleinsten Bewegung (Reden, Kauen, Kopf drehen, Gähnen, Aufstehen, Hinsetzen...) an der linken Hörmuschel sehr nervig, weil laut. Die Sprachqualität ist noch immer sehr gut (5*!), in beide Richtungen. Auch das Ausblenden von Tastatur- und anderen Hintergrundgeräuschen ist exzellent. Bei fast 400 Euro Anschaffungskosten finde ich die geschilderten Mängel mehr als enttäuschend. Hilft das?

Purchased this with an expedited delivery due to work-from-home requirements, and using my mobile device was a hassle especially for long conference calls. I detest the price point, but the reviews and test calls I looked up online showed that the calls can be heard clearly as well as effectively minimise any background noise. I've also learnt that this is different from a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, which isolates noise during an audio playback but does nothing when it comes to mics. Delivery took all of three days, and unboxing and set-up took 10 minutes. The device was partially charged, and took about an hour to charge fully. It is currently connected to two mobile devices. It's been 3 hours and so far I have taken two calls with renovation works in the background. And yet, I could hear the speakers very well, and I could also be heard clearly. The buttons were instinctive to find, and the headpiece itself is light with a reasonable hug around the head. When not used for calls, the sound quality when playing music is just as good - balanced with a touch of base, which I love. Again, I am not exactly hot for the price, but this will definitely make work calls from home far more pleasant.

Pricey, but it's pretty much flawless. I can type on my mechanical keyboard and no one hears it, the noise cancelling is really good. Battery is fine, comfortable too.

With the working from home scenario, I was looking at something that will have a base with mute options. There are not many in the market like that with Bluetooth connectivity. This one is exactly what i needed. Awesome call quality and range. Loaded with features.
