This extraction kit has everything I needed in one package. I was looking for a stainless steel extractor when I came across this one which is self filling. I wanted a steel extractor to minimize any potential risks during extraction that would come with pvc or glas extractors. The fact that it is self filling allows me to innitiate the extraction without actually having to stay in close proximity. The stainless steel is so sturdy and the screw-on-clamps holding it all together so tightly that even in a worst case scenario likely nothing bad would happen.I really appreciated the tought of putting screw winding tape into the package as this makes the process all the more secure. The three legs of the stand even come with little rubber shoes to prevent any form of static electricity from building. They might appear thin but they can be adjusted and tightened and will not deform as they are made of the same quality steal as the chamber itself.I would like to point out the modularity of the product as you can reassemble it to your liking without having to compromise on safety. I have assembled my setup according to the sellers suggestion but I don't think the pressure gauge actually has much use in my setup and is only there for your own peace of mind. It is probably more useful in a setting with a bigger extraction medium than I have used for my purposes. The chamber can hold way more material than I initially thought.What you can't see in my pictures are the high quality rubber seals that are being held in place by the clamps. The second to last seal at the bottom of the aparatus also doubles as a sieve that is holding back the plant material. Underneath comes the filtration chamber which fits up to five of the filtration pucks that come with it. I found two to be sufficient and I'm sure other filters can be used too. The package comes with two industrial grade leavers which allow you to control the speed of the filtration.Lastly it should be reminded that anything you plan on doing with your purchase should be done outside in a safe, well ventilated area as arising fumes are more than likely disadvantageous to your health overall.I hope you enjoy your purchase as much as I did, very good product for the price.

This Extractor Kit comes with the color remediation filters down to 5 micron (see pics for results, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. The filter disks fits snug into the filter plate. It does an excellent job of removing chlorophyll and pigments, resulting in a much cleaner and more transparent final product.Using activated bentonite, I found that just three teaspoons were sufficient to filter 2 ounces of dried flower effectively. This has significantly improved the quality of my extractions, making them more refined and enjoyable.The stainless steel extraction tube is sturdy and well-made, adding to the overall quality of the kit. If you're serious about producing a clean product, I highly recommend this extractor kit. It’s worth every penny for the level of purity it achieves! 5 stars all the way!

Once you get started making plant extracts, you quickly learn that some compounds simply will not extract with water or steam. Despite my best efforts with my steam extractor. The fact of the matter is, some compounds you may wish to extract require more aggressive solvents, such as hexane, diethyl ether, ethanol, methanol, acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and butane, the latter being typically used in cannabis processing to make BHO (Butane Hash Oil). Substances like butane are used because the low boiling temperature make solvent removal a simple method of letting it warm up.This is a nice, very inexpensive, very compact setup that will allow someone unconcerned with volume to make lab-quality extractions. It is beautifully crafted, and includes nearly everything, including a filter mesh, but no filter mediums like activated charcoal or diatomaceous earth, you have to provide those.Personally, I may use this for cannabis, but I'm mainly interested in trying to do extractions on Lilac, which proved impervious to my water-based efforts. I have high hopes for this with perhaps ether or some other solvent. I may have to do some experimentation, you'll notice there is a lot of lavender extract, but very little lilac extract on the market, because it is very difficult to extract. Wish me luck. I may just end up using it for cannabis, lol, because lilac flowers have such a small amount of oil. We'll see, spring is right around the corner.Being pretty experienced with distillation and extraction, I found this to be a nice kit, especially for the price. It's not huge, but a good size for individual use. As such, it stores away easily, which is nice. Quality is excellent, and as I said, it includes everything except filter medium, gas, and product. If you want to get into making extracts for just over a C-note, I really don't think you can go wrong here. This is an easy 5 stars.

I read all of the product info and reviewed all the pictures and it says nothing about how much the material column will hold. Without this info I don't think anyone will purchase, me included.
