Happy with the purchase
Great product. We have tried many different brands and so far this one seems to be the best. Our dog has long hair and this brush does a great job with it. Plus it is comfortable to use. I can recommend

Much larger than previous brush, but works well and the victim doesn't seem to mind the size

Not suitable for short haired cats.
The website says gentle hair removal for undercoat and for short haired cats. This is wrong. It is so hard and sharp, it would hurt and could be dangerous for short haired small animals. The bristles are very sharp. Yes, they have tips but the tips are not big, and it is still sharp. I briefly tried it against my scalp and it hurt! You definitely couldn't use this on a young cat with short fur!It feels cheap, the handle and head made from plastic. The button mechanism is also plastic and I don't think it would last long if you were to use this on a dog with very thick fur, pressing the button often. You'd also have to press quite hard on an animal with very long thick fur as the bristles although sharp, are small, so it wouldn't reach the undercoat.
