Florida Statewide Science Assessment Test Prep Grade 5: A Comprehensive Practice Workbook with Full-Length Tests (Florida FAST Assessment Practice - Grade 5)

This assessment booklet just like the other one is great. It’s been helping the kids and my mom‘s classroom.

This is a great book for reviewing Florida’s fifth grade science standards. There are four separate tests, and each one covers most areas that will be tested. I am using it as review prior to the test with a fifth grader. It is so helpful and was a great time saver.

As a K-5 STEM teacher I am very fluent in the FL BEST Standards. This book uses NGSSS and is not Fl, specific as the title would make you think. There are many questions that are not in the Fl BEST Standards. The question structures are weak. They are not at all like the question structures students will seen on the FL, FAST test. I bought this in hopes of not having to write my own practice test for my students. I may be sending it back. I'm not sure yet, I may be able to use it help me write my own practice questions that are written at a higher level like the question students will see on the test.

This book has a great variety of Science review questions. They are multiple choice questions covering Florida state standards. The questions are not extremely extensive, and there aren’t any CD sets if that is what you are looking for. This is a great, quick way to begin your lessons leading up to the Science state assessment.
