Really works and changed my life! I've lost 8 kgs using it

I have been using chitosan [as ALLI] for over ten years now. It has the same effect, though you must take two or more capsules. get the pure kind like this one. it is a nice break from alli as I find alli is REALLY good when eating REALLY FATTY foods, but chitosan is a bit milder, and same effect. I use this one almost daily, and the fat is down to 6%. ALLI is a mega option to get the really fatty ones. remember to take a multi-vitamin, as in fat soluable types, these products stip those vitamins and you need supplements. Not a part of my daily supplement, but it keeps my cholesterol under control without statins and radical diet plans. I only take it when I eat meat, or other high cholesterol or trans fat content. Use this, and avoid sugary and high carbs, it'll help you lose weight, as well. I regularly go my doctor to have my glucose and cholesterol checked because of my "always" borderline blood pressure (runs in the family). Still no need for meds, except 5mg of Lisinopril for my blood pressure. If you're allergic to shellfish, this is something to avoid unless you want to force yourself to develop an immune system to it. I did... eating crabs since a kid, being stubborn even with the allergic reactions to it. Now, I'm perfectly fine!

My dog has high cholesterol from certain medical conditions and his vet recommended trying Chitosan first before resorting to a medication, as cholesterol lowering medications for dogs are not as effective as they are for humans, and the research thus far hasn't established that they work in the same way. It is difficult to evaluate this product because I won't know the true impact until my dog's next round of blood work, which isn't for a few months. But so far, I can say that he seems to be tolerating taking this supplement once a day. I give it about 10-20 minutes before his meal. Please note, however, that if you (or your dog, if you're using these for your dog) are on any type of medication that needs to be taken with food - fat soluble medication - that you cannot take Chitosan before meals, you will need to wait a few hours after eating. Otherwise, you will reduce the efficacy of your medication and cause other problems. When researching on Amazon for different options of Chitosan supplements, I was disheartened to see that there seem to be many unknown companies peddling Chitosan supplements as a miracle weight loss cure. It is not a miracle weight loss cure. If you read the medical research, it does have some positive results in terms of helping to lower cholesterol, and some people *may* also experience some weight loss. But this is not a miracle weight loss pill. Because of all of the products labeled as a weight loss cure, it was very difficult to ascertain which, of any, of the manufacturers can be trusted. I finally settled on purchasing the NOW brand of Chitosan because I have used the brand's vitamins and supplements in the past and see them for sale at reputable retailers like Whole Foods. The capsules themselves are quite large. I would have trouble swallowing them myself, but thankfully my dog has been able to swallow them when wrapped in cream cheese. I wish NOW offered a lower dosage in a smaller size.

Great quality for the price. I have been following the directions to a T since it arrived and I see no marked difference. I'm going to take all of the capsules and order a second bottle. I'll come back and update this review when I finish the second bottle. My hopes are high at this stage.
