You just have to be disciplined and put loads of work to get results as expected.Helpful and it definitely would be a lovely gift.

This is the book I've been looking for for a very long time. 'The Art of Cursive Penmanship' focuses on the classic American handwriting and is an intelligently structured handwriting guide for adults.

An excellent book, with all I need to practice my cursive script.

I don't know if this book needs to be this heavy. It looks like a very good piece of paper, but you can't move it to a place other than your desk.

It comes under the form of a gigantic ultra heavy binder except that you can take the pages out. It’s just bulky for no reason. The height and the huge spirals in the middle prevent you from writing comfortably.

Not what I expected.... it is supposed to be new edition, but it does not contain some part that Michael Sull was talking about in review...Dissappointed, but missed return date...

I got into penmanship and was recommended this book. So far my handwriting is improving. It's helped with print too.

Ya sabía que el maestro Michael Sull pone todo su empeño por ofrecer explicaciones claras y ejercicios abundantes, pero no me esperaba recibir un manual tan robusto. Ahora tengo mucho material para entretenerme por un buen tiempo. Es un libro indispensable para los que aman la caligrafía.

SECOND EDIT: This book is a must-have. It's better than all the IAMPETH free books I tried. I went through several of them but learned a lot more from this and I'm still going through it. The cost of the book is minimal compared to the time you'll spend working with it.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The content is great, I literally found myself improving by the second line. However, this book is mostly examples to be copied from and since it's so big and awkward you can't copy from or write in it using the form it teaches. It was published in seemingly nice paper in a very hard and heavy binder, but it would be worth paying a premium to get it instead on cheap photocopy paper, looseleaf, in a brown envelope. It would have been better IMO published in a compact ring format like the Tamblyn book's current edition in the first place, but I understand Michael Sull is a purist and doesn't want you writing/copying on anything thicker than a couple sheets of paper. TBH I'll probably still copy from it as is, it'll just be uncomfortable and maybe breed bad habits.EDIT: I tried to practice from it without disassembling it but it was too awkward so I went ahead and pulled out the black wire spiral going down the middle. It actually pulls out really nicely, so maybe that was Sull's plan all along. Now I have the whole book stored in a zip-up Five Star binder. Much easier this way. Changed rating to five stars.

The media could not be loaded. Ich suchte Lektüre zum Thema der Schönschriften Spencerian oder Palmer Methode. Nach ein wenig Recherche wurde ich hier fündig. Der Master Penman Michael R. Sull hat einige Bücher (leider nur in Englisch verfügbar) zu oben genannten Themen geschrieben. Dafür recht ausführlich und von der Pike auf.Michael R. Sull war unter anderem der persönliche Kalligraf vom ehem. Präsidenten der USA Ronald Reagan 1990-2003.Diese und viele weitere Informationen gibt’s imBuch „The Art Of Cursive Penmanship“, das eigentlich einem Arbeitsordner gleicht, es werden alle Themen rund um die englische Schönschrift abgehandelt und mit verschiedenen Schreib-Übungen gekrönt.Die kann man immer wieder verwenden, wenn zuvor kopiert.Alles in allem ein wirklich tolles Buch mit Mitmachcharakter.Das soll hier bitte nicht als Werbung verstanden werden, und dennoch möchte ich meine Empfehlung aussprechen, ich bin ganz begeistert.Michael R.
