CRP AutomotiveRein EPK0018 Expansion Tank Kit, Multi

This product (Expansion Tank) was delivered quickly and it fits the BMW 325i great. If I needed another tank like this, I would buy it again. Of course the old one was hard to get out but the new one went on fine. Hoses lined up and clips slid on great. Filled the car with Anti-Freeze and she was running quite well.NOTE 1: Keep your old hose clips for the job. No new ones came with the quick-connects.NOTE 2: I had to order the Thermostat that goes in the bottom separately.OUTCOME: The cart itself is a lemon! BMW has a reputation that they deserve for older cars! Poor is the word. Like most folks in the online forums, the car overheated before warnings sufficiently alerted us and so we now have confirmed a blown head gasket or worse. To the scrap heap with an otherwise great little car! Not worth the money to fix it further!!!

The tank is leaking. It was wet around the seem almost as soon as I installed but figured it was new and I must have spilled some coolant while I was filling the system. Now I have coolant on the garage floor. Not alot but enough I have to top the system off weekly... Guess I'll be doing this again. I will also not be buying auto parts from Amazon any more. No warranty info and no way to contact the selling.

This came with a new cap and level sensor and everything fit and worked perfectly.I've gone through 3 or 4 of these and this was the easiest to install, and as someone else noted, gave satisfying feedback when it was seated properly.I did have to replace the O-ring on the middle rear connection to get a tight seal. I'm not sure if that's because the diameter of the connection was smaller than the previous tank, or if it was just because the O-ring was old. Everything else sealed up well with the existing O-rings.

Good item very well built. I suggest when replacing this you buy new thermostat, upper and lower hose.

2 stars because I bought this expecting a Kit including the cap and sensor, but all I received was the expansion tank itself. The tank doesnt feel poorly made, but not including parts that are explicitly stated to be included is fraud.

seems to fit fine ... decent product .. plastic seems a little less quality than the original tank. could be that plastics are not the same as they were 15 years ago .. this replaced the original BMW tank on the vehiclefor the savings in $$ I gave this a 5 star

This fit my 2006 X5 perfectly. At first I had problems getting the two upper hose connections to fit snugly into place until I figured out that the trick is to keep the clips in the locked position when inserting, then you should hear them click into position. I had to use a large C-clamp to put enough pressure on the smaller connection before it would click. So far no leaks!!

Seemed to work fine on 2006 x3. Time will tell as this is definitely a weak spot for this SUV. I would suggest going ahead and getting the transmission thermostat while making the change.
