I love these despite their few cons. Pros; They last FOREVER. I have had the same two horns for months. My dogs get access to them for a few hours each night and my little dog in particular will utilize those few hours to the fullest. Minimal mess. I am never picking up bits and pieces. Cost; for how long they last I’d pay double this. Seems to be good for chewing styles across the board. I have a small dog who takes her time and is more of a shredder, and a big dog who is a voracious chomper. They both do amazing with these. Cons; Stinky when new! Seems to wear off after two weeks or so but when being chewed, there’s an odor. If your dog is a really strong chewer I’d also watch for this bone cracking, and/or it causing a tooth issue. I can totally see this cracking a tooth if my big dog was any harder of a chewer. —- All in all, 5/5 for money, longevity, and safety if you know your dog!

It’s huge lol!! PERFEFT for our Dutch Shepard Cane Corso mix! He’s a powerhouse and loves chewing things he shouldn’t and bored with things he should. But he loves this!! With supervision (ie during a movie etc) on a towel it’s a perfect chew. It doesn’t realy smell bad like most chews do. It smells just a little like fresh cut wood actually when he’s chewed it a while. IT DOES CRACK WITH VERY SHARP EDGES THO so supervision is a must. I file down big sharp edges… so when he chews it I check it every 5 mins and let him chew it 20 mins at a time only. I’ll be buying it again. If he can get all the way thru it! May the race begin!

Great for power chewers!! It took my normally very aggressive chewer pitty mix quite some time to go through this! They do have a funky smell!

I have an intense chewer, Anatolian, she loves this buffalo horn. It is lasting a long long time. Most chew products are like potato chips to her. This water buffalo horn is not brittle it is very tough.

I have an 11 month old Australian shepherd and she is a very aggressive chewer. Everything we get she chews it up and destroys it. I gave up on stuffed animals, pig ears and ropes. I started buying hoofs and wood because it's just a waste of money for her to destroy everything else. I bought these in hope they last longer and give her something to keep her busy when she can't go outside or we are working. She has been chewing on it since it came out of the bag 30 minutes ago. It does have a smell but I just think you will have that when your giving your dog parts of any animal. I will definitely buy more. The size is perfect for her to bite and carry around.

My dog likes this—but I worry because there is some minor splintering. I have not been able to contact the company. I would have liked to exchange the horn for some extra large elk or deer antlers. They love those too and I’ve never seen any problem with them. I end up giving the horn to my dog for a short time and then taking it away. I will probably just toss it. It’s not worth the worry, though it was pricey.

The size is good and my dogs love chewing them. This is why I gave 3 stars. Otherwise it would be less. They are really not worth the price. I’ve only had the about 10 days and my small dog has already chewed half through it. The last ones I ordered took 6 months to chew up. UPDATE: After my original 2 star review, the company contacted me and issued a full refund. So nice to know they stand behind their products. I will try them again. Maybe I just got a bad batch. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

My power chewer has been working on this for a couple of days!! Keeps her occupied for sure. Our other dog who is not much of a chewer is enjoying it as well. Added bonus - it doesn’t smell awful like other chew products!

My Catahoula LOVES her water buffalo horns. Every night before bed she has a chew on her horn before she goes to sleep These are no longer available in pet stores near me, I was heart broken. Thankfully, WhiteTail Naturals are available online. In store I was paying $30 plus tax each. These 2 packs are an amazing deal Smae great quality I'd found in store, delivered, for about half price. I will definitely keep ordering these as an important part of my pups daily routine

Our dogs are chewers, and they absolutely love chewing these. They last a very long time. Really a great product.

These are far from medium sized. They are about 10% the size of large that I get from Pet Value
