Setting these up was a breeze. I just placed them near potential leak sources like under sinks and around the water heater. No tools required. Very functional little gadgets.The 100dB alarm is loud. During testing, it was definitely enough to hear from another room, which is exactly what I was looking for. If a leak happens while I'm asleep or not near the area, I know I’ll still hear it. These sensors are small and don’t take up much space, making them easy to tuck into tight corners without being in the way. I've placed them in different spots—kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and basement—and they perform well on all types of surfaces, from tile to concrete. It’s also good to know they can detect small drips, not just major floods. Batteries are also included which is great.Overall, for the price, these water leak detectors are a solid investment for anyone wanting an affordable, no-frills solution for water leaks. After a recent dishwasher flood my plumber told me about these little handy devices that will tell you if water is leaking. He said that he constantly sees refrigerators, washing machines and hot water heaters that flood houses too. So on his advice I bought these and put one in every place possible that could ever possibly have a leak. I tested one out with some water on my counter and it worked well! They are VERY loud. Now will this prevent a flood? No, of course not. But it may be able to prevent massive damage if it alerts you to a small drip in your home before the flood happens and give you time to save your home by turning off the water supply.

After our LG washer's water valve stuck open and flooded our laundry room and downstairs, I opted for more water alarms than what I already had in place. We learned the hard way that water runs the way it wants to, which may not be the direction you can place larger water alarms due to their size. These small units fit under the washer and I can place them in multiple spots for earliest detection. I just wish they were a little louder.

This is simple yet easy to use water leak detectors. It's small in size but with very loud alarm. I love that these use 2 AAA batteries rather than 9V battery like my old water leak detector, which was very difficult to install the battery. 2 AAA batteries are much easier to install and also readily available at home compared to 9V batteries. BTW, I was very glad to see that brand new batteries were also included with these detectors.These have 4 water sensors on the bottom and 1 sensor on top. I also love that it has large TEST button to test the unit and it can be used to turn off the alarm in the event when it goes off due to water detection. The best way to use these detectors is to place them on top of a paper towel so that if there's any water leak near by then it will get absorbed by the paper towel then immediately touch one of four sensors on the bottom to sound the alarm. I have placed these under the sinks and behind the toilet tanks so I will know immediately if there's any sort of water leak, which isn't something that I check often.Always test it before using it to confirm that it's working and I also appreciate that it has low battery alert so I don't have to second guess and check the batteries every few months. Highly recommend these water leak detectors. It will pay for itself by just alerting you with water leak once. Better safe than sorry... 5 out of 5 stars!

placed under each sink and buy our water heater. the first day. literally the first day it detected a leak under a bathroom sink. slow leak. and of course it was around midnight. i was furious that it went off and thought it was faulty. then i felt the sink and yup. very slow dripping wet pipe. called plumber the next morning. $45 fix instead of hundreds of dollars. i put each detector in a metal 13x9 pan with paper towel draped over the sides touching the bottom of the cabinet so it will wick to the detector.

A simple yet effective water detector. It has metal sensing pads on the bottom and a simple test button. No need to connect to wifi or alarm systems. It just makes lots of noise if it senses water. I can hear the alarm anywhere in the house. I placed one under the kitchen sink, by the water main shut off and by the water heater. Nice and simple and easy to use. Good quality and well built.

This water detector was easy to install and offers a value peace of mind by providing great alerts for water leaks.Despite my concern at first, this product is viewed as a worth while investment for preventing water damage .
