Fit for purpose
Device itself was great - unfortunately the drive could not be brought back, it had died so I was unable to repair it, however I first needed to confirm it wasn't the old Power Supply and this confirmed it.

Covers all my Seagate requirements
Completely satisfied with this purchase as I had thrown out by mistake my seagate leads and thought that was it, but this has saved the day. Works a treat with my Seagate Go-flex, 6tb and 5tb hubs plus my expansion drives. One additional point of note is the switch on the lead ideal if you want to leave it plugged in just not being on.

Good Supply But Note The Cable Position
I brought my WD Elements Hard Drives from abroad and these UK power supplies have proven very reliable. The original US supplies should have worked with UK voltage but they were giving stability problems. The only thing wrong is that the cable sticks out at the Top (above the Earth Pin, weird photo) and I failed to take this into account for the space on my power strip. One new adaptor later and all's well. Good price for a good item.

Good quality and cable length, but check info before buying
The cable feels well made and sturdy with a nice solid connection on both ends. The length is just right, giving enough flexibility to set everything up neatly without feeling short or tangled. It came well packaged and has a good weight to it, which makes it feel like a quality product rather than something flimsy or cheap. Unfortunately it didn’t work with my particular WD hard drive. It powered on but wouldn’t connect properly, which I later realised was due to a voltage difference. It turns out my drive needed a slightly lower voltage than this one provides, so I had to send it back in the end. I do think it would help if the product description gave a bit more detail on compatibility, especially around power requirements for certain drive models. That would save people the trial and error of finding out the hard way. Aside from that, I can’t fault the design or materials. It feels robust and looks like it would last a long time if it suited your setup. If it’s the right fit for your drive, it’s a well made piece of kit.

Build Quality
Well constructed, it would’ve been great to be able to purchase one without the on off switch being on the cable as I can see myself pressing it by mistake

Great power adapter that does what it claims. Perfect for my imou NVR Box
The 12V AC Power Supply Adapter for Seagate Hard Drive, FreeAgent Goflex, WD Western Digital My Book power adaptor came well packaged inside a cardboard box. Inside the box, you just get the power adaptor with a small construction manual. Power adaptor has an inbuilt switch on the cable so you can turn the power off this way instead of pulling the plug out which I really liked. I'm currently using this for an IMOU NVR which has a 2 TB hard drive inside, and it's powering my NVR perfectly. I've had no power constraints, unexpected power downs, and the NVR box hasn't shut off during my testing, which was great 👍 Overall, this power adapter has performed excellently in my testing, and I can certainly recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
