Yes, you should get this jig!
I would not have been able to do 88 five inch handles the job without this jig! My wife picked a 5" handle for all of the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen, and 3 baths! I was really concerned about getting all of them even and straight. I can't express enough how easy this jig was to use. Set it once, and do all of the doors - left and right just by turning the symmetrical jig. Set it again and do all of the same width/depth drawers, and so on. Here's a tip. Instead of measuring the distance of the handle and trying to set the jig: Do this: 1) loosen left/right of the jig, 2) use the screws and handle to set the jig spacing, put screws through jig holes, 3) screw them in to the handle through the jig, 4) center the handle on zero, 5) tighten the jig. You are 100% guaranteed that the spaging is right because you used the screws and actual handle holes to set the distance. My dad (a retired engineer who has built things privately and professionally his whole life) was very impressed with this tool. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you get one of these. I totally recommend. (PS the 24 handles in the picture are chrome - so some look silver, some look black because of reflection. Personally, I would have gone with stainless or brushed nickel, but I'd like to remain happily married. So, I kept my mouth shut and said, chrome it is! - You know... happy wife, happy life!) :)

Don't need instructions for use and child can assemble and understand.
So let me be clear, the other reviews on this product are ignorant and have no basis to be posted. This product is easy to assemble, a kid can put it together WITHOUT instructions. If you need instructions, you should not be needing to DIY, rather hired a competent person. Sorry this review is more on the bozos who said they needed Instructions. As far as product, I have used worst and this for the price is hands down best buy. Buy this instead of the plastic one and save yourself the headache. Lastly, this comes with a cheaply made carrying case, but it's constructed enough to carry and protect. Overall out of scale of 10 for total product assessment, I give it a 8.75. the biggest detractor was the blue poly guides.

GOOOOOOOD
Fantastic! I am so glad that I got this to help me drill holes and install pulls and handles on cabinets. I always worry about drilling hole on expensive cabinets that I just installed and putting them in the wrong place. You don’t get a second chance on something like that and a mistake would be ugly or expensive to repair. I compared different positioning gauges on Amazon and chose this one. Compact and practical carrying case, split into small parts and easy to assemble, available in cm and inch sizes. Although the plastic tool is lighter, I think the aluminum alloy is more durable. According to the instructions on the webpage, I quickly assembled it, and installed a whole kitchen in minutes that all the handles were quickly and evenly placed on the cabinets. I have to say that this tool is worth every penny for pro's and amateurs alike!

Junk - Not perfectly perpendicular
Ordered the "Aluminum with Steel" model. While it seems nicely made and machined, there is some design flaw and/or problem with the tolerances. It does not make a perfectly right, 90-degree angle. Hence, it's rather useless for its purpose unless perhaps the handles you're installing have just one hole. What's worse: I sat on this thing too long and I'm past the return window!Avoid.

Precise and easy to use
Everything is metal except the 3 adjustments but they have a metal grommet were you drill through. It is to replicate location for left and right cabinets. Over all very happy with the product at its price.

Crooked Jig
Bought this to help put hardware on cabinet doors and it should work, but the metal piece that lines up against the door edge is off by 1/16th, leading to handles that are not straight up and down. I am beyond irritated with this thing. Luckily, I noticed it on the first handle, but now we need to drill the hole bigger to move it over and have to either use a hand made jig now or adjust for the crookedness. The point of a tool like this is for ease of use, accuracy and consistency. It's not accurate at all and should go in the trash, which is such a waste of money and materials.

Excellent tool.
OMG!!! This is probably the best tool I’ve ever bought and I have almost one of every cordless Dewalt tool ever made!! Seriously, if you’re installing anything other than a single screwed knob, buy this tool! It didn’t have any instructions but if you’re even a little handy with an iota of common sense, you’ll figure it out. It’s easy! My only problem is, I have a few drawers that are more than twice as long as the ruler. Those are going to take a little more thinking to get exactly right the first time. I haven’t seen an extra long attachment for this but if anyone knows of one...Great tool!! I’d definitely recommend buying the aluminum one.

JUNK
Absolute junk. The ruler part is bulged out at both ends so cant I put on the blue gauges or the side gauge on rendering the whole thing useless. I was hoping not to spend the $180 for the higher priced unit but I guess you get what you pay for.
