great pack! Love this thing
great pack! Love this thing. if you do not need a backpack full of gear this is a great pack for going to/from the tree stand, small game hunting, upland hunting, and hiking. I can get everything I need in the rear, and strap/buckle on another layer on the top of the bag if need be. The side pockets are convenient and nicely sized. the zippers could be easier and quieter to open and close but the main compartment is quiet and the material is soft and quiet when moving around. I ended up getting the turkey vest attachment for the front as well, and this is now my turkey setup in lieu of a vest, and the game bag I strap on for decoys. I did not realize when I bought it that the rear bag does completely come off, so you can use the belt with pockets, straps, bino harness, etc without the bag in the back when you need to travel light the water bottle loop is pretty much useless, but the rangefinder pocket is spot on. this is a very versatile pack at a nice price point, thats why I got it and it fits the bill.

AWESOME Little pack, can't beat it for the money.
I've got about 15 different packs for hiking and hunting and climbing etc... I got this a week ago. I've been out hunting with it for about 4 days now. This is an AWESOME little pack for hunting and trekking. Surprisingly, it's built really well. Thick constructions, nice padding for your lumbar and great features in general. you can remove the shoulder straps and just use it as a fanny pack. I can't say enough good about this little pack. It holds my essentials, knife, gps, compass, maps, matches, gloves/hat, some snack bars, cell phone, ammunition and large size water bottle pretty easily. I really like the side pockets, they make it easy to access your ammunition when your small game hunting. My buddy has a Badlands Monster that was about $125, after he saw this little pack he bought one too. It's just the right size for evening hunts, or whole day. I wouldn't recommend it for multiday treks, but all in all I love it. The only thing I can tell you to be wary of is this pack is NOT for heavier people. I'm 5'10", 190lbs, and it JUST fits me, I wear XL clothing. I'd think if you were a big big person you might have an issue with the shoulder straps.

Great product for a good price
Gave this to my uncle as an early Christmas present for this years hunting trips. His previous one didn't stay on his body well when put more than a few small items in it. He loves that this one has the shoulder straps because he can place it right where he wants on his body and it won't move around on him too much. It has plenty of space in the pack. He initially was using it in conjunction with a backpack, but he said he may just use this pack because it holds plenty and has convenient pockets and is comfortable. He's talking about it so much I'm starting to get jealous and may need to get one for myself. The quality of the product seems to be good. When we inspected it out of the box it looked well made and did not have any obvious defects. With this experience, I'd be inclined to look at more of their products in the future as this pack has been a really good product for the price.

Hopeful this is the one (updated Nov 2023 - this is the one!)
Received it today and, overall, like what I see. It's a bit smaller than I'm used to, but I think it should be more than enough once I trim down my kit a bit (let's face it, I'm over-prepared tbh). I'm anticipating it will work out so well, in fact, that I ordered a second one for my son. Hopefully, this coming season, we won't regret it. Pros: - Waist belt can cinch tight enough to support the weight of the pack on my skinny waist (30"). - Has a water bottle holder. - Big enough... I think - Lightweight and relatively compact - Modular (I bought the bino addon. I think it will work out nicely for my compact binos). Cons - there are a few things (cons) keeping me giving it 5 stars: - The little pocket on the side - the one with the loop closure. Yeah, one side of the loop broke off the first time I opened it - literally. I crammed the end back up in the stitching where it pulled out, grabbed a needle and some thread, and went to town on it. Seems to be holding now, but time will tell. - That little pocket (the one I just wrote about)... yeah, not sure what I'm going to put in it. Frankly, it's just a little too small to be practical and I don't trust the closure system to be putting anything valuable in it. Wish they had made it a little bigger and either put a zipper closure on it or an actual clasp. I would have been happy with another water bottle holder too, instead of what it is now. - I wish they had sewed a loop on the back of the harness. Would make a good anchor point to clip miscellaneous things to (like a seat pad, or something). - the double lashing on the top of the bag... it's nice and I'm glad it's there. Just wish it could extend a foot or so longer. I think I may have to get creative if I want to lash down a heavy coat without having the ends drag through the bushes. I think it will work well enough to fold up a lightweight jacket - but anything with bulk won't be able to be compactly folded up in it and will need to be draped over it and secured that way. ---Update Nov 2023--- After 2 seasons of use, I'm happy to say overall this pack is a keeper and does what I want it to. In fact, I will probably buy another one for my daughter at some point... - Pack is well made and holding up well. The only exception to that is that little side pocket - that broke on my son's pack too, same as mine. It's a worthless pocket (too small) with a terrible closure system. - I stitched a loop onto the back of the harness where it connects in the middle of the back (see picture) - that allows me to clip my foam seat pad in there and carries it nicely. They should have done this from the factory, tbh. - It holds enough - barely. Honestly, probably the perfect size - not to big, not too small... just right. - Don't notice it when it's packed and strapped onto me - with the waist belt cinched my shoulders don't get sore, my back doesn't get sweaty, and I can duck under branches without snagging it on anything. Overall, way better than a backpack in those regards. If Alps could make that lame pocket into something useful and sew a strap onto the harness, they would have a 5 star product. For now, leaving it at 4.

Great Pack
Really nice product. I was skeptical about the size, however I was pleasantly surprised. More than enough room with the two main pockets to fit everything I need: Grunt call, bleat can, toilet paper roll, flash light, first aid, compass, ammo and extra knife. There is also a convenient zipper pocket in the large pocket which is perfect for holding my permits/licenses and maps. Smaller pocket holds 50' rope easily, as well as plenty of snacks. Side pockets are the perfect size for my lighter, string, chapstick and diaphragm calls for turkey season. It also keeps them easily accessible without taking the pack off. The zipper loops are very easy to grab with gloves as well, and the fabric is very quiet. The buckle straps on top of the pack are also great for holding an extra jacket or rain gear. I've worn this pack on two 11 hr hunts as well as a few half day hunts. It works perfectly for my needs and is comfortable. I would definitely purchase this pack again and strongly recommend it, especially considering the price.

Great little pack
Since I’ve been using a climber more and less permanent stands I wanted to downsize from my normal backpack that takes up a lot of space. This little pack was the perfect choice for that. It holds all my gear that I’d normally carry and is very non-invasive. My climbing stand also rests a little on top of it while I’m carrying it. Between the stand straps and my harness straps providing support it’s a lot more comfortable to carry my climber long distances. Due to the amount of buckles on this I’ve found it secures perfectly to the shooting rest on my climber which allows me to have easy access to everything in the front pockets. I’ve also used it for general bush hunting ventures. It’s much easier to get in and out of thick brush and trees without getting snagged on everything. The zipper noise is minimal if you unzip it slowly so that’s not a concern with me. I’m giving it 5 stars because it did exactly what I needed it to and then some.

Great Hunting Bag..
This is a quality pack and worth the money. I was looking for a pack to replace a well used hunting pack. One of my biggest gripes are cheap snaps. I've had belt snaps break in a short time on all of my past fanny packs. I have a feeling the belt snaps will last a lot longer. This pack has plenty of room and pockets for all of my extras: calls, extra gloves, caps, ammo, binoculars, etc...The other thing I really liked were the zippers having loops so when you have gloves on you can unzip them with ease. Another nice feature of this pack is that it does have the shoulder strap that can be attached when needed or detatched when you don't need it. I haven't had any need for the shoulder strap as of yet but I am planning a pronghorn hunt in the fall and I am definitely going to attach it for the long hike in the back country of Wyoming... Compared to other more expensive packs, this was well worth the money..

Perfect size
While looking for a small light weight pack to store gear in I came across the little bear, looked like it was about the right size and for the price it was worth the risk. I could not be happier with this purchase, it is big enough to hold the things that I need for a long sit in a tree stand and small enough that it does not get in the way while walking through brush on the way. The buckles on the straps can also be used to secure the pack to the bar on the front or side of your tree stand. The pack is well made with heavy stitching and a low noise material. Highly recommend this to the hunter looking to avoid stuffing their pockets or taking a large pack.

Excellent fanny pack for the price with great features.
It is one of my best buys this season. It is really comfy and the weight is evenly distributed in between the shoulders and the waist straps. Perfect for those who like to walk a bit when hunting. A great companion to grouse and rabbit hunting. You can easily fit snacks, a water bottle, ammo, gloves, extra socks, everything you need for a morning or an afternoon walk. The small pouches on either sides of the belt are easily accessible, and as opposed to what I read in other reviews, I can easily open the pouch and pull ammo out of there with one hand only. Like hunting backpacks, the outside is made of a quiet material so don't worry about making noise when you're crawling in the bushes! I only find it annoying when I have to remove it to drive to my different hunting spots. Highly recommended.
