This pressure vessel (type WPT 24L) will be delivered including the EPDM rubber membrane. The vessel is designed for a maximum pressure of 5.4 bar and will be delivered for a horizontal positioning, including a plate for attaching domestic waterworks, and is suitable for wall mounting. The vessel is checked for tightness with up to 5.4 bar water pressure by the producer. It has a 32.89–33.25-mm (1β€³) pump connector. The pressure vessel additionally has an integrated valve (Schrader valve/car tyre valve) to regulate the counter-pressure in the space between tank and membrane. The bore diameter of the feet is 8 mm and the elongated holes on the plate for attaching the pump measure 10 mm. These vessels are made of quality-steel sheets and are welded according to UNI-EN standards and equipped with a heat and ageing resistant EPDM rubber membrane. The membrane can easily be exchanged. About the pre-charge in the pressurised vessel: The pre-charge pressure should be set approximately 0.1–0.2 bar lower than the switch-on pressure of the pump and has to be checked regularly. Any failure of observance may cause damage on the EPDM rubber diaphragm of the pressure vessel. A more accurate calculation results from the formula β€œswitch-on pressure of the pump x 0.9.” Example: Switch-on pressure of the pressure switch of the domestic waterworks is set to 1.5 bar: 1.5 bar x 0.9 = 1.35 bar. This means that the pressure can be set from 1.3–1.4 bar. Important: The pressure of the vessel should only be inflated or deflated after the pressure to the water system has been released beforehand.
