This is an entry level engraver. I have enjoyed my experience with it so far, but after you start having fun with it you might end up wanting one that is more advanced.

We’ll have only had this machine since December and it stopped working and I bought 2 of these. I would never recommend this machine due to these issues. Tried cleaning the machine and doing an update but nothing worked. Do not buy this machine it will only frustrate you.

I run a small business where I use this tool to burn my logo onto my products. We use it every day, approximately 12 times daily, which demonstrates its durability. The design makes it easy to operate since you can simply place it on the item you want to burn, allowing you to use it on any surface it can sit on. It features a 3-inch burn area, which is the perfect size for our logo. Invest in this tool—you won't regret it!.

The engraver works great as expected. The only complaint has to do with the quality check of the accessories. The the black cardboard used to focus the laser that came with the product was burnt, although it is still usable because the laser can be focused with any other white/black cardboard.

I was thrilled to use it to create Valentine's Day gifts for my 6th grader's class, and it was a huge hit! The students and teacher alike loved the custom pencils, finding them both practical and cool. The burnt wood scent was also a surprising bonus! It definitely took a few practice runs to get the hang of it, but once I found my rhythm, I was able to churn out pencils quickly. The machine itself is compact and doesn’t take up too much space on my craft table, which I appreciate. I found it easier to position the laser using the buttons on the machine, rather than trying to move the pencil around. Using a grid mat underneath was also essential for accurate placement. The software, however, is where this engraver falls a bit short. I downloaded the app onto my iPhone, and while it was functional, it felt a little clunky. I was able to save my settings for the pencil engraving, which was helpful for repetitive tasks. But it could definitely benefit from a more intuitive and flexible interface. Despite the software's limitations, I'm really happy with the DAJA DJ6. It's a great tool for small, personalized projects. I'm already planning to make more pencils for teacher appreciation week, and I'm eager to explore other materials like leather in the future. For now, pencils are a quick, satisfying, and impressive win. If you're looking for a portable laser engraver for small-scale DIY projects, this is a solid choice, just be prepared to work around the software's quirks.
